United Energy Company implements the systems of antiabnormal automatic equipment

On February 28, 2017 the Profotec company announced the beginning of the project on equipping of United Energy Company (UEC) the systems of antiabnormal automatic equipment.

Project Tasks

The solution is created on the basis of fiber-optical current transformers with a digital output of production Profotec and digital terminals of the relay protection created by Relematika company. System implementation allows to create the high-precision systems of antiabnormal automatic equipment and rapid response in points of connection of an aerial line and a high-voltage cable. According to developers, the solution will find application practically in each large city of the Russian Federation, taking into account the level of building and topology of the available electric networks.

Work on an object of OEK, (2013)

The feature of the project is that the disconnected flexible loop from special optical fiber set directly on a high-voltage cable sleeve will be applied to creation of measuring element. Use of such construction excludes need of a rupture of the operating aerial cable transition and is carried out without dismantling of the switching circuits of the high-voltage equipment existing on substations^[1].

The optical loop has small weight, does not create mechanical loads of a support of a cable sleeve and does not require additional mounting constructions that allows to provide economy regarding installation and construction works.

Digital technologies in power find the increasing application as they have advantages in comparison with the current solutions, providing the accuracy of measurements and also an opportunity to control and manage the electric networks in real time. The Profotec company makes and implements the equipment for power. Implementation of this project lays the foundation of creation of digital substations, and further and creations of intelligent power generating systems like SmartGrid.
