Tablets run kvadraOS, Yadro's proprietary operating system that provides technological independence, adequate security and compatibility with enterprise software.

One of the key factors of choice, according to VTB, was the possibility of deep adaptation of the operating system to the bank's tasks - such flexibility is provided by Kvadra's own engineering team and close integration of software and hardware platforms. The chosen architecture allows you to ensure full compatibility with VTB service applications and device management systems with kvadraOS as part of the import substitution program.

Tablets allow you to carry out fast and technologically advanced customer service in VTB branches. Especially for the bank, the vendor has also developed branded protective cases in the corporate style of VTB.

As Sergey Bezbogov, deputy head of the technological unit - senior vice president of VTB, said for his part, the bank consistently pursues a policy of import substitution of the equipment used, while paying special attention to devices with which customer service is carried out.

"The transition to domestic developments allows the bank to guarantee the technological independence of services from any foreign interference. At the same time, the active use of the products of Russian vendors at VTB contributes to the systematic development of the domestic industry for the production of such solutions, improving their functionality, as well as increasing popularity among both corporate and physical users, "the top manager believes.

The parties are already discussing the following stages of cooperation - including the supply of cases with a keyboard in an individual design and the further expansion of the fleet of devices.

Transition to Russian laptops, tablets and phones

As part of its import substitution policy, VTB has acquired over 50,000 laptops, tablet computers, landlines and smartphones from various Russian manufacturers. According to some classes of devices, the share of Russian equipment in the bank already reaches 20-30%.

The key suppliers of office equipment for the bank were YADRO (KVADRA brand, part of ICS Holding), Ricore, Aquarius, as well as the manufacturer of telecommunications and IT equipment Qtech. For many vendors, the bank has been making several purchases since 2023. Some of the devices are expected to be delivered in 2025. For example, the bank purchased 5.5 thousand tablet computers from the YADRO vendor, and 13 thousand tablets are also expected to be delivered. The bank also bought about 6 thousand laptops from the manufacturer Ricore and agreed with him to supply another 10 thousand devices by the end of 2025. And "Aquarius" supplied the bank with about 12 thousand tablet computers.

Since 2023, the bank has been purchasing exclusively Russian office equipment. Its import substitution occurs gradually - as it becomes systematically obsolete and foreign devices are decommissioned. But already in June 2025, for example, the share of Russian laptops and tablets exceeded 30% in the total use of such devices in the bank. And the share of domestic landline phones, modems and communication modules is 20%, - said Sergey Bezbogov.

The use of Russian devices in the work of a bank with an extensive network of branches throughout the country, on the one hand, supports Russian manufacturers, allowing them to bring more and more advanced devices to the market, and on the other hand, protects the work of employees of the organization from unauthorized exposure from abroad. Also, the transition to Russian devices gives the bank a significant economic effect, summed up the top manager.
