The network of transfer of medical data in Rostelecom Volga will be protected by ViPNet Custom

NVision Group, Nvision Group branch in Nizhny Novgorod, won in the fall of 2012 an open competition of MRF "Volga" of JSC Rostelecom. According to its conditions until the end of 2012 the company will provide the protected data transmission between medical institutions of the Saratov region.

In the Saratov region the regional segment of the single state information system of health care (SSISHC) of the Russian Federation is under construction. All local medical institutions will be connected by the general communication network which will become then a part All-Russian.

Work in the information medical systems assumes personal data processing of patients therefore it is required to provide their reliable protection. Also specialists of NVision Group should solve this task. For its accomplishment the hardware-software complex meeting national standards on information security will be implemented.

"We will create a common information space for all clinics, hospitals and other medical institutions of the Saratov region. Only the authorized users – doctors therefore citizens should not worry that their data can fall not into those hands will be able to get access to personal data of patients", – the director NVision Group Mikhail Kuznetsov notes.

Technical details of the project

The network of transfer of medical data including the equipment of routing and switching of traffic, firewalling, protection against network attacks, access control and cryptography will be constructed based on communication channels of JSC Rostelecom.

Safety of information will be ensured by ViPNet CUSTOM line – the hardware and software of Infotecs company. In particular, for data protection from unauthorized access and substitution the program ViPNet Coordinator server integrating the cryptogateway and the firewall will be used.
