250 YuGK heavy trucks work under control of SIM cards

MegaFon announced in December, 2016 that within cooperation with Yuzhuralzoloto group technical specialists of the operator set base stations in the territory of Svetlinskoye's mines, Western and Youzhny Kurasan. The area of a covering of new objects of communication is more than 20 sq.km. Improvement of communication quality and loading of the Internet of MegaFon will be estimated not only by two thousand employees of the gold mining enterprise, but also more than one thousand residents of settlements Light and Gorbunovsky. Earlier steady signal was not at one of operators here.

For the first time operators of MegaFon implemented such technical solution at the enterprises "Yuzhuralzoloto Group" (YG). SIM cards of the operator set in GPS/GLONASS terminals which are placed in cabins of BelAZ and also in cargo and passenger transport of the company. Now in real time specialists far off monitor fuel consumption, the passable distance, the current speed, a status of engines and a remaining balance of time before the following maintenance. Data arrive on the panel of the manager via a secure channel of communication from MegaFon.

"Annually we process more than 8 million tons of gold-bearing ore. And production is conducted both in mines, and in pits. The largest of them — Svetlinsky GOK. Now its depth — 190 meters, we are going to work it to 500 meters. But even at such distance Megafon provides a stable signal. Thanks to monitoring we always know about exact location of machines and far off we control work of drivers. This technology is used at all our enterprises" — Roman Berger, the managing director "Yuzhuralzoloto Group" told.

The multiton equipment exchanges indicators through a mobile network, thanks to service "M2M-monitoring". So the enterprise controls all expenses which can arise at operation of machines. At the expense of such M2M-solution it was succeeded to reduce a downtime of the equipment and to save up to 30% of a total quantity of costs on fuel consumption of motor transport.
