2020: Moscow and St. Petersburg create the uniform travel card

On August 13, 2020 the Administration of Saint Petersburg announced creation of the working group, joint with the Moscow authorities, which will be engaged in development of the uniform ticket for public transport. Officials of transport blocks both administration entered into group.

The uniform travel card should allow inhabitants of both regions to pay in identical methods for the parking and the drive on all means of transport, told in the press service of Smolny.

Also added to the Administrations of Saint Petersburg that uniform travel cards will make use of public transport more convenient for inhabitants of different Russian regions.

Earlier the co-branded Plantain Three card which can use both in St. Petersburg, and in Moscow was developed, but on it it is possible to write only one type of the ticket. The working group will be engaged in broader integration.

Besides, "development of uniform tariff policy and mutual accounting of privileges" and also the solution of a question with the operator of data is supposed.

Parkings are offered to be integrated into a single system on the Moscow sample, reports the agency. The capital is ready to share the license for the system non-paid. The senior research associate of the Institute of Economics for Transportation and Transportation Policy of the Higher School of Economics Ekaterina Reshetova considers the idea of creation of the uniform travel card perspective as Moscow and St. Petersburg are close to each other, many people go to business trips from one city in another.
