2024: There are more women leaders in IT in Russia. What contributes to the movement towards gender balance?

IT is traditionally considered a male field of activity, the share of men in it prevails by a wide margin. However, gradually the share of women in IT is growing: there are more of them in development and in leadership positions. If, for example, 10-15 years ago women in companies in the position of Chief information officer, the head responsible for digitalization could be entered into the Red Book, now this is not at all uncommon. 2019: In the US, women in IT are paid less than men. And what about Russia?

2012: The most powerful women in IT

Forbes has published another version of the annual ranking of "100 Most Influential Women in the World" for 2012. Traditionally, not only the most politically and economically influential persons fall into the rating, but also those who have great cultural influence and weight in society.

The first line of the rating in 2012 was taken by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In addition, the rating includes 25 women CEOs who collectively manage an annual turnover of almost a trillion dollars ($984 billion). In addition, 11 millionaires with a total capital of $80 billion are presented in the rating. Also in the rating were 10 celebrities, but, as the compilers stipulate, not for a brilliant appearance, but for their philanthropic activities.
