The Appboxo super application development platform was founded by Kyrgyz citizens Kaniet Raev and Nursultan Keneshbekov. By mid-February 2022, 10 super applications were created using Appboxo in Southeast Asia, India and South Africa. The company provides integration with more than 400 mini-applications, most of which are created by third-party developers. According to Appboxo, its total base has more than 500 million users. Among the company's customers: GCash, Paytm and VodaPay.

History

2022: Raising $7 million

In mid-February 2022, Appboxo raised $7 million as part of the Series A investment round, which was led by the fund. Leonid Boguslavsky RTP Global Other investors include Antler and 500 Southeast Asia, SciFi VC, Gradient Ventures (a venture fund Google focused on) artificial intelligence and business angels Huey Lin and Cayvon Deldar.

Appboxo has two main products. The first is Miniapp, a SaaS platform with an SDK and API for creating and running mini-applications. For example, mobile wallets can integrate mini-apps to deliver food, shop, or book tables in restaurants.

The second product launched in 2020 is Shopboxo, which allows enterprises to create customizable online stores using mobile devices in less than 30 seconds.

Mini-applications created using Shopboxo can be integrated into super-applications through Appboxo, co-founder Kaniet Raev expects that the ability to reach a wider base of small and medium-sized enterprises will increase the number of mini-applications to thousands in 2022, especially since Appboxo customers already use the platform, mainly for e-commerce. Financial super-applications want to diversify into new verticals, and in the current conditions, e-commerce looks like the most obvious opportunity and the easiest to implement. "

Raev said that the new AppBoxo funding will be used to further develop Shopboxo, as well as expand the trading ecosystem and expand its international presence. At first, AppBoxo will focus on the Asia-Pacific region, where, according to him, super applications prevail, but it also wants to enter the European and US markets.[1]
