Destinus is a space startup founded by former Technosila owner Mikhail Kokorich in Switzerland. The company has offices and facilities in Germany, Spain and France with former employees of Boeing, Airbus, etc. (as of February 2022). The startup is developing a hypersonic aircraft - a hybrid of an aircraft and a rocket that will be able to deliver people and cargo from one point of the Earth to another in a couple of hours at hypersonic speed.

History

2022: Raising $29 million

February 8, 2022 it became known about the investment of $29 million in Destinus. Mikhail Kokorich Conny & Co, Quiet Capital, One Way Ventures Liquid2 Ventures, Cathexis Ventures, ACE & Company invested in the ex-owner's space company [[Service Trade)|Technosils].

What shares investors received in the project and what its estimated value after the round of financing is not reported. The Destinus team intends to spend the funds received on the development of hydrogen jet and rocket engines. The company does not disclose the assessment.

The company notes that to create a new aircraft, the company needs another 5-7 years, but Destinus intends to test the first prototypes in 2022.
