Startup Edison Technologies was founded in September 2021 by technology entrepreneur Mikhail Krapivny, who is also the founder of the Man & Technologies lab design bureau and has been engaged in engineering and industrial design for various civil and military gadgets and urban infrastructure, including charging stations, transport drones, ventilators.

Edison Technologies is engaged in the production of ultrafast charging stations for electric vehicles and auxiliary software. Modular equipment ranges in power from 50kW to 150kW, which developers say is suitable for all types of electric vehicles. The stations are designed for both so-called fast charging (a cycle of 40 to 120 minutes and charging the battery to 80% capacity) and long-term charging (up to 8 hours with full charge of the entire battery capacity).

Stations can be integrated into the corporate identity of a gas station or other place where they will be installed. Customers will be able to configure personalization for the mobile application as well.

History

2022: Launch of a platform in Moscow to turn any light car into an electric car. Price

At the end of April 2022, Moscow launched the first platform for the Russian market to turn an ordinary car into an electric one. This is a project of Edison Technologies, a company engaged in the production of fast charging stations for electric cars.

The process consists of installing an electric motor, connecting your own BMS (Battery Management System) system and installing batteries. Then the point adjustment and optimization of the entire car is carried out, including flashing the ABS and ESP systems for new reactions of the car to the gas pedal and changing some controls inside the cabin (for example, adding buttons to enable imitation of the sound of an internal combustion engine car to improve the safety of other road users, since the electric motor is almost silent, which can create a number of dangerous situations, for example, during changes on the track).

At the end of April 2022, Moscow launched the first platform for the Russian market to turn an ordinary car into an electric one. This is a project of Edison Technologies, a company engaged in the production of fast charging stations for electric cars.

Turning a car into an electric car takes 6-8 weeks, and the cost of converting one vehicle ranges from 1.5 million rubles. with today's average cost of an electric car in the secondary market, for example, Tesla Model S 75, from 3.8 million rubles, and a new model - from 7 million rubles.

According to Edison Technologies, car owners, using the new service, will be able to save on fuel and consumables. Gasoline cars on average consume at least 8-9 liters per 100 km in the city and on the highway. Half of Russians are refueled by AI-95, and about a third are AI-92, the cost of which is growing from year to year and as of April 29, 2022 exceeds 51 rubles and 46 rubles, respectively. A full car tank costs an average of 3 thousand rubles, a week with active driving takes several tanks, the company said.

The long-term goal of the project is the gradual integration into the market of the actually developed electrical circuits and BMS systems for end consumers, said Mikhail Efimov, technical partner of Edison Technologies.[1]

2021: Attraction of 24 million rubles

On November 30, 2021, Edison Technologies announced the attraction of 24 million rubles of investments from businessman Alexei Blokhin and minority shareholder of Sovcombank Andrei Suzdaltsev.

The funds were received in the format of a convertible loan. Shares in the legal entity are evenly distributed between the founder and two investors, the company did not disclose other details of the transaction.

Russian manufacturer of charging stations for electric vehicles Edison Technologies raised 24 million rubles

The funds raised will be used to refine the simultaneous charging system, which will allow connecting up to eight cars. In addition, the stations will be equipped with connectors for charging electric scooters and vehicles for people with disabilities.

The company is also working to ensure that the stations have anti-vandal fasteners, protection against overheating, current leakage and other types. They will be able to operate at temperatures from -40 ° to + 50 °.
