FLEXTERA. The generation of software products of Diasoft company integrating all solutions and information resources of Bank in uniform Financial Architecture. FLEXTERA. Experience of our clients and the most modern tools of IBM and Oracle.

FLEXTERA – is result of cooperation of Diasoft and IBM which began in 2003. This Russia's first solution for banks in which the advanced principles of service-oriented architecture (SOA) are implemented. Regularly carried out overload tests in the Center of innovations of IBM demonstrate that performance of the products FLEXTERA which received the certificate of IBM Ready-for-SOA conforms to the highest market demands.

It is the integrated Financial Architecture which integrates all products and information resources of Bank in a whole and gives the chance of fast development, break, due to the choice more than from 60 completely ready functional modules and separate program services included in the operating infrastructure by integration into modules of third-party suppliers. It is full-scale implementation of SOA.[1]

It is automation of all business processes of Bank. Constructed on the basis of real work, FLEXTERA reproduces and controls all business process in general: all its stages, all its participants – "conducts" people on process, simplifies their work, excludes errors and gives to management management tools operational efficiency.

This full-function solution which automates all business of Bank – corporate retail and investment, supports work of all divisions – the front office, risk management, a back office and accounting and proposes ready-made solutions for all key business processes in each of bank divisions. In a moneybox of the company of the clients of the company of business processes – more than 600 preconfigured, based on the best experience.

These are industrial platforms: FLEXTERA is based on infrastructure components of the leading world suppliers – IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and works at any hardware platforms, including mainframes that guarantees reliability and high operational properties of the created solutions.

It is performance. The front office – no more than a second on a response during the work of 100 thousand users in 14 time zones. A back office – 8,000 transactions of planned charge of percent per second based on 100 million client agreements. The ledger – 12,000 accounting transactions per second based on 2.5 billion postings on accounts.

It is unlimited scalability. The multi-tier architecture and universal use of industrial technologies allow to scale each level of a system and each of solvable business challenges separately, timely revealing and eliminating "bottlenecks", trying to obtain high investment return. It is a clustering – for centralization of data and consolidation of own computing resources. These are "cloud" calculations – for search and connection of additional capacities outside.

It is flexibility and technological effectiveness. The tools integrated into deliverable Financial Architecture allow to configure all system and separate business processes "on site" that considerably reduces time to market of new products, services, allow to control a situation and save on unreasonable costs.

Money transfers. The market of money transfers gains the increasing steam. Money transfers and payments of individuals are commission banking services which do not bear in themselves credit or other significant risks. FLEXTERA "The Complete Solution on Payments and Transfers without Opening of the Account" is intended for acceptance, storage and processing of client requests on implementation of payments to operators of services and transfers to the address of individuals – thanks to the implemented interaction with integrators of money transfer systems.

Single interface. The solution on payments and transfers without opening of the account of a line of FLEXTERA uses technologies of "single window" - it is a unique opportunity to increase attractiveness of bank and loyalty of his regular customers. The operator is saved from need to switch from one work area to another: all information is concentrated in one window that reduces quantity of errors, accelerates work, increases the general flow of customer service and efficiency in general.

Data protection. In all products and solutions of a line of FLEXTERA the package of measures for data protection from unauthorized access and change of data (the organization of the protected tunnels, the electronic digital signature of the transferred messages, confidential data protection, multilevel audit of transactions, etc.) is implemented.

Integration with payment systems. Specialists of Diasoft implemented in the solution adapters to systems integrators: CyberPlat and Coinstar Money Transfer; and to the main payment systems: Contact, Leader, MiG, Anelik, UniStream, Western Union, "Close", FinStream and Rukard. In the closest plans of the company – connection to such payment systems as Zolotaya Korona, Moneygram, Pace, Asia Express, "Fast mail", Caspian Money Transfer, Ria Financial Services, Private Money.

The channel of self-service Internet banking is a component of the solution on payments and transfers, functions in uniform data space when different channels of customer interaction (traditional service through the operator and remote self-service) function together as a part of a single system. It allows to provide to clients qualitatively new level of service which opens an opportunity to combine channels of service convenient to the client in uniform business process. The client quickly, from any point where there is an Internet access, obtains all necessary information on products of bank, the requests, a status of accounts, submits applications for service, can make any operations on money transfer or payment of services.

Multi-platform architecture. The solution on payments and transfers, as well as other products of the line of FLEXTERA, is based on infrastructure components of the leading world suppliers – IBM, Oracle, Microsoft imozht to work running different operating systems, to use different DBMS (the Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase ASE, IBM DB2), application servers (IBM WebSphere, Oracle AS, BEA WebLogic, etc.) and also to work practically at any industrial platform (Windows, Linux, the different UNIX-SYSTEMS, etc.) including in heterogeneous environments when different solution components (a presentation layer, the application server with business logic, DBMS and an integration bus) can be unrolled on different platforms.

Operational FLEXTERA front office. The complete solution on payments and transfers without opening of the account is built in as one of components of the operational front office which includes a full range of solutions on sale of banking products, to decision making, further customer service and partners of bank, integrated with the back office systems and decision making systems. The product completely solves problems of operational customer service.

Functionality of FLEXTERA "The Complete Solution on Payments and Transfers without Opening of the Account":

  • Operations on receiving and delivery of cash
  • Conducting product accounting of operations on transfers/payments
  • Calculations between bank, payment systems and service providers (at payment acceptance in payment for services in agreements with service providers)
  • Creation of operational, analytical reports, registers, consolidation of information
  • Preparation of summary accounting documents
  • Monitoring of performing transactions and interaction with a payment system for reflection on supplier accounts of services/receiver of the transfer/participant of a payment system and information transfer about payment.

All transactions which are directly connected with customer service are taken out in the separate, front office layer which is physically not connected with other components of an IT landscape of bank. It allows to continue customer service and when the back office and accounting systems are strongly loaded (for example, during mass charge of percent or creation of the reporting) or do not respond to the requests of users at all (for example, during scheduled works or time failures). Use of the mechanism of the guaranteed delivery of client requests will provide continuation of their processing as soon as functioning of the back office systems is recovered. Besides, such approach allows to lower sharply load of the back office systems (due to their disposal of loading, work-related a large number of employees of the front office) and also to reduce the size of license fees (due to reduction of number of jobs in the back office systems).

All business processes in solutions – "end-to-end": they mention at once several systems which are caused in the necessary sequence and "is completely transparent" for the end user.

2019: Giving of means of protecting of Flextera on certification in FSTEC of Russia

2018: Interaction with a Unified Identification and Authentication System and Interaction with EBS components

On August 10, 2018 the Diasoft company announced release of the additional FLEXTERA components – "Interaction with a Unified Identification and Authentication System" and "Interaction with EBS". These solutions will help credit institutions to fulfill the requirements of Federal law No. 482-FZ "About making changes in separate legal acts of the Russian Federation".

The law starts the mechanism of remote identification of clients of credit institution and sets an order of carrying out complete remote biometric identification (EBS) through the Unified identification and authentication system (Unified identification and authentication system).

The solution of FLEXTERA "Interaction with a Unified Identification and Authentication System" supports the full range of business processes ensuring effective functioning with a Unified identification and authentication system: from search and removal of accounts of users before registration of a new account, confirmation of the identity of the citizen and introduction of information on the child.

Developed the solution of FLEXTERA "Interaction with EBS" for registration of biometric data with use of a Unified identification and authentication system of Diasoft. Its functionality includes such business processes as search of the confirmed account, removal of biometric data (the image of the person, a voice) and data transmission into EBS for registration.

The Bank of Russia until the end of the year will not impose the sanction against banks for absence of the departments equipped under collecting of biometrics. Despite it, we strongly recommend banks to begin works on transition to a Unified identification and authentication system already now. For fall of 2018 the serious problems connected with transition of GIS GMP to the interchange formats SIEI 3.0 and also with preparation for IFRS 9 therefore the delay can result in impossibility once to implement several projects will drop out. Risk not observe the requirement of the legislation is a good reason to start active actions without delays.

2017: Built-in means of cryptoprotection

The company Diasoft announced on July 31 gain of security of a product line of FLEXTERA in connection with obtaining the perpetual license FSB Russia on development, production and service of information systems using cryptographic (cryptographic) means. At the expense of integration opportunities of FLEXTERA also the level of protection of software products will be increased Diasoft FA#.

By order No. 426 of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation on September 6, 2016 solutions of Diasoft company – the IT system of Diasoft FA #, financial architecture of FLEXTERA and the analytical FLEXTERA BI platform – are included in the Unified register of the Russian programs for electronic computers and databases.

2012

The license agreement about use of SAP Business Objects technologies

The SAP company signed at the beginning of 2012 the license agreement with Diasoft company about use of SAP BusinessObjects technologies and their distribution as a part of products of the Analytical FLEXTERA platform. As a result of cooperation of partners users of the Analytical FLEXTERA platform will be able to use all power of BI tools of SAP Business Objects company for a business intelligence of this, collected, consolidated and calculated by analytical applications FLEXTERA. The synergy of advanced technologies of SAP and the innovative solutions of Diasoft will allow to achieve the maximum effect of use of SOA tools for industrial data processing. Results of long-term experience and examination of Diasoft in the field of the bank reporting in combination with industrial means of data analysis of SAP Business Objects will allow to increase repeatedly the capacity of analytical divisions of modern bank.

From an interview of Glazkov Alexander, the managing director of Diasoft:

Alexander Valeriyevich, what was an incitement for creation of essentially new architecture of bank software?

In recent years the solutions constructed in traditional architecture steadily lose popularity. The market needs systems with qualitatively other characteristics of performance and scalability which the current generation of banking systems cannot provide. The main trend is creation of the centralized systems capable within one installation to ensure functioning of large multifilial bank. For example, the system capable to service more than 100 million agreements, tens of thousands of users working in different time zones is necessary for Sberbank of Russia.

It became obvious that when preserving former architecture, without global changes, we will not achieve results necessary to us. These changes – advanced technologies and a know-how were necessary …

And they were implemented in solutions of FLEXTERA?

Exactly. Clients make the choice for benefit of Financial Architecture of FLEXTERA for many reasons today. And one of the major – FLEXTERA is constructed on the principles of the service-oriented architecture (SOA). Now it is fashionable to speak about SOA, but we not just say: compliance of FLEXTERA to the principles of SOA is confirmed with certification in IBM company – the recognized leader in the field of the service-oriented architecture.

Thanks to the principles of SOA, our clients have a real opportunity really effectively to develop the business. Because SOA is a freedom of choice, freedom of development, freedom in decision making.

How do you achieve this objective?

We spent many forces to make of our, earlier monolithic, systems full-fledged set of the service providers providing a full range of solutions for the tasks facing our clients. For this purpose our products are organized in the form of a set of services with the standardized interfaces based on which the technologies which are most solving specific objectives of our clients can be constructed.

FLEXTERA is 60 separate products for automation of the most different directions of business (corporate, retail, investment, etc.) distributed on layers (the front office, middle-office, the ledger, the reporting and so forth).

In what advantage of such approach?

It is several advantages.

First, the speed of delivery of changes to clients increases – each service can be developed independently and to deliver to clients, without waiting for readiness of all other parts of a system.

Secondly, the transparency of a system increases, implicit dependences of its different components are eliminated, it becomes simpler to monitor the impact of changes in separate components on all system.

Thirdly, the client is not attached to one supplier any more. He can use services from different suppliers, selecting the best of the best. So consumers become less dependent on developers, risks of IT-projects repeatedly decrease, and the speed of the solution of business challenges increases.

What does it give to business?

Our clients can receive changes quickly and with the best quality now. Adhering to new ideology, we can really reduce costs – both the resources, and the customer's resources. The financial architecture of each specific bank can be collected without restriction of integration opportunities, with the smaller cost of support and service.

There is one more good point. Until recently in the Russian market only large developers – suppliers of the end-to-end monolithic systems survived. Development of SOA gives chance and to the small IT companies: money and time for creation of separate components of a system it is required less and therefore their products in certain niches can compete with products of the leading suppliers.

There is an opinion that it is difficult to use foreign information systems in Russia …

And it is the truth. The difficulty is connected with features and considerable variability of accounting rules in our country, the Russian legislation and requirements of regulating authorities. To become less dependent on such changes, in our Financial Architecture we consciously separated product and accounting. Also thought up a special intermediary component which problem is reflection of the carried-out business operations in accounting by the configured rules …

For what it is made?

It solves need of our clients for different types of accounting – Russian, international, etc. Besides, department of accounting considerably facilitates work of the product systems, bringing closer us to the commonly accepted understanding of the back office systems in world practice as "machines of transactions". Still all Russian banking systems were under construction as "machines of postings".

Important part of FLEXTERA which is profitable distinguishing it from competitors is strict orientation to business processes. We do not automate separate transactions, we automate the finished business processes in which different divisions of our clients, different information systems are involved.

IBM Banking Industry Framework is the initiative of IBM corporation directed to increase in efficiency of activity and an investment payback in the software from credit institutions. The program integrates possibilities of the software of IBM with the program expansions, accelerators of solutions and the best practical methods developed especially for the banking sector of economy and helps financial companies to implement solutions quickly, with smaller costs and risks. These new solutions are created according to the principles of the service-oriented architecture and completely conform to modern industry and technology standards. All solutions included in IBM Banking Industry Framework undergo careful comprehensive testing for compliance to standards and requirements of IBM.

The family of the front office products FLEXTERA became the first in Russia and Eastern Europe the solution in the field of automation of banks and financial companies which underwent validation on compliance of IBM Banking Industry Framework.

IBM Banking Industry Framework integrates the highly effective solutions offered by IBM company and its business partners who allow banks and financial companies to achieve good results in business development. These solutions are created according to the principles of the service-oriented architecture and completely conform to modern industry and technology standards.

Requirements of IBM Banking Industry Framework very tough. Applicants should prove the high business importance of the solutions, their technology and technical maturity, compatibility with the latest products and technologies of IBM. From an interview of the Director of the department of system platforms and architecture of Diasoft company Konstantin Varov: For me and my colleagues validation is some kind of quality label, efficiency evaluation of our activity. Worldwide only 20 companies and 33 solutions gained recognition from IBM in banking sector. In Russia and Eastern Europe of FLEXTERA is the first and only solution validirovanny on Banking Industry Framework. This fact drew attention to our software product at once. In the first days after validation we observed a huge number of visits of our website from different the countries according to the link from the website of IBM. We realized what opportunities open for us within cooperation with multinational company. The Russian customers also began to pay more attention to the product FLEXTERA. Communicating with clients, we felt that the trust level both to the company, and to a product, including from non-management employees of IT divisions of banks, significantly grew.

The joint plan of technical actions is developed. The staff of IBM provided training of our specialists, and we apply the gained knowledge to improvement of solutions. As a result our product becomes more the innovation, the separation from competitors increases. In March, 2011 the conference for a narrow circle of business customers of IBM company devoted to industrial solutions and "reasonable" innovations including for the banking sector took place. FLEXTERA is essentially new solution for support of banking and insurance business, the first in Russia received the status IBM Ready-for-SOA. Feature of our software products and the created solutions that from ready components we can collect a new chain under any customer.

At the end of 2011 the software product of FLEXTERA "Glavnaya Kniga" successfully underwent certification on compliance to requirements of IBM Banking Industry Framework. Results of certification of one more FLEXTERA software product once again validated the product strategy of Diasoft. The operational FLEXTERA front office built in ABBYY services

Specialists of Diasoft built in in October, 2011 the operational FLEXTERA front office ABBYY services which allow to distinguish different document types, proving the identity (passports, car driver licenses and so forth) and also to create the user templates for recognition of different types of bank documents (questionnaires, statements, settlement documents, etc.). The operational FLEXTERA front office represents a full range of solutions on sale of banking products, to acceptance of management decisions, further customer service and partners of bank.

The joint solution allows to make scanning and recognition of documents in the automatic mode. The operator needs only to check results of recognition and if necessary to correct them. Thanks to it, time of primary identification of the client at different stages of business processes of bank is considerably reduced, are minimized the costs for primary information input necessary for decision making about issue of car loans, mortgage and consumer lending, at service of deposits, etc.

The main value of the solution proposed to the market consists in reduction of starting time of operations on identification of the client and data entry from bank documents. As a result, it will allow to accelerate and optimize business processes of financial institution considerably.
