Azure Kubernetes Service simplifies deployment, management and transactions on the Kubernetes platform, acting as completely managed service of orchestration of the containers Kubernetes. The payment is levied only for virtual machines, the connected network resources and the used storage. It is not necessary to pay for management of clusters.

Microsoft noted that an exit of service became only the first step to that Azure became "the most complete and functional cloud for development of native cloud applicaions".

In June, 2018 Microsoft added five new regions in Australia, Europe and the USA from which access to Azure Kubernetes Service is provided. 10 more regions will be open within several months, reported in Microsoft on June 13, 2018.
