2020: Announcement of the Fabric Service Platform (FSP) Nokia platform

On July 9, 2020 the Nokia company announced emergence of network operating system (Network Operating System, NOS) and intuitive work benches for automation and operation of networks. As a result the cloud companies and owners of data centers will be able to scale the resources and to adapt them in the conditions of the continuous exponential growth of traffic and fast changings caused by emergence of such technologies as a 5G and Industry 4.0. SR Linux of NOS and the service Fabric Service Platform (FSP) Nokia platform were created in cooperation with the world web companies, including with Apple company which already set this technology in the DPCs.

According to the developer, FSP Nokia is a tool kit, necessary for the cloud companies for intuitive operation of network on a basis the politician. FSP is beyond traditional management systems for network points. This solution is developed for design, construction and monitoring of all network in a data processing center on the basis of constructs of the network layer. A number of technologies are a part of FSP, including, virtual digital doubles who work in real time with the correct accounting of a status and facilitate problems of check and diagnostics.

FSP digital sandbox

Service Router Linux Nokia OS (SR Linux) and the Fabric Service Platform (FSP) Nokia platform maintain openness, flexibility and automation that simplifies scaling, adaptation and operation of a data processing center and cloud environment, claim in Nokia.

According to the statement of the developer, FSP Nokia is a set of intuitive work benches for automation and operation. They support flexible scalable work of networks with the operating system of SR Linux in multivendor infrastructure of a data processing center. FSP Nokia is integrated with the existing operating systems and creates the digital sandbox allowing to model network factory in real time for design, testing and diagnostics of networks. Work with FSP reduces design terms, simplifies planning and commissioning. As a result network specialists receive confidence in the correct functioning of all components of large-scale network factory that allows them to work more productively, to cut down expenses and to reduce the need for qualified specialists.

The product FSP should appear in the market in the 4th quarter 2020.
