Warehouse of CRAFERS factory

During implementation of TopLog WMS in warehouses of CRAFERS factory it was necessary to consider a number of features of their work:

  • Raw materials (including liquids) arrive as in piece, and weight forms, on pallets, in bulk, in barrels or in cargo containers. For raw materials storage, depending on its type, different types of packaging are used: barrels, bags, gofrokorob. At acceptance of some types of raw materials their repacking is executed. For example, the arriving treacle is poured in capacity directly in a warehouse.
  • Accounting of expiration dates for raw materials and finished goods had to be conducted for all their lifecycle in a warehouse.
  • For use of the accepted raw materials on production it was required to control stages and to fix results of passing of laboratory control at all stages of warehouse processing.
  • On raw-material storages and finished goods zoning taking into account temperature conditions (+6 +8os and +20 +25 ° C) and observance of rules of the commodity neighbourhood is performed (for example, for cocoa and fats).
  • Part of the goods arriving for production has no barcode. And it needs to be marked at acceptance. For marking of the weight nomenclature the label with a compound barcode on which it is specified the article and weight is used.
  • Product quality change (standard, defects, delay) is performed by employees of a warehouse, both in automatic, and in the manual mode.
  • Goods are shipped from a warehouse by the FIFO method – first of all products with the closest end date of an expiration date are shipped.
  • The finished goods warehouse executes shipments to regions and performs city delivery by own low-tonnage transport.

During control automation by a warehouse complex of the customer, the solution TopLog WMS was integrated with the corporate information system (CIS) "1C: ERP 2.0".

Warehouse of CRAFERS factory

Thanks to wide functionality of TopLog WMS in warehouses of CRAFERS company typical interruptions and problems are excluded:

  • Acceptance, shipment and other warehouse transactions with products are conducted as in basic units (piece, kg), and boxes or pallets. The piece goods are fixed in the WMS system and CIS in pieces. Weight – is subject to weighing at stages of acceptance, selection, shipment as arrives in a container with a different amount. Liquids are converted into kilograms.
  • Product acceptance, its placement on storage and feed is performed taking into account temperature conditions and rules of the commodity neighbourhood. The TopLog WMS system will automatically issue information on an error if the storekeeper tries to move goods to a cell to other nomenclature position which is not suitable by rules of compatibility.
  • Account of goods is kept by date of production, expiration dates with detailing on zones and cells of a warehouse. In TopLog WMS an opportunity to mix identical products with different expiration dates on one carrier is not allowed.

Possibilities of the solution TopLog WMS implemented on a warehouse complex of CRAFERS factory allowed to achieve positive results in work of all enterprise:

  • Product quality increased: thanks to the WMS solution the relevant status of quality characteristics of goods is maintained always. At acceptance the employee of a warehouse fixes date of production or termination of an expiration date. Results of laboratory control are fixed in TopLog WMS in the form of permission or prohibition on use of raw materials for production of finished goods.
  • The efficiency of warehouse personnel increased. Automatic formation and task allocation in TopLog WMS allows to separate most effectively tasks between contractors and the equipment used in warehouses. At the same time the WMS-sistemy operator has an opportunity to appoint a specific objective to a certain employee. After marking of all cells of a warehouse the warehouse personnel had an opportunity quickly and trouble-free to perform necessary transactions with products.
  • Time for carrying out inventory was reduced. The warehouse management system TopLog WMS allows to carry out three types of inventory: planned, selective (on a zone, a cell, goods, a batch) or partial (in case of detection of a problem during the course of performance warehouse transaction).
  • Performance indicators of management of a warehouse complex improved. The company management of CRAFERS got access to relevant reports on work of warehouses of the enterprise. In TopLog WMS standard reports quickly form: on remaining balance and turnover of goods, on the general and individual development of personnel, on a status of orders, on the arisen problems and some other. Possession of exact information on a company performance allows to manage it with the maximum efficiency.
