Appointment and principle of work

"Cros" is the system intended for accumulation and postprocessing of documents.
Documents are stored in special sections. It is necessary in order that during further processing it was possible to run for search not according to all documents but only among documents of a certain section. Such sections are created by the user. For example, the bank of documents on the press can be broken into the following sections:

• by years,
• every year according to editions,
• each edition by numbers, etc.

Search of the necessary documents is performed on a key word. Search result is the list of all those documents in which this word (words) occurs. Except a key word for search also other criteria can be used:

• document title,
• size,
• date of creation of the document, etc.

You can browse contents of each selected document, and, the found key word will be highlighted in the text in other color. Without leaving the program it is possible to create the report which can be printed or saved then in the file for further processing.

Main functionality

1. Placement and document storage in bank:

• storage of originals of documents in a system with compression;
• dynamic data encryption;
• work with documents of different formats (the text, MS Word, [1]HTML, RTF, Lexicon, Excel), without the need for the MS Office installation;
• the indexation, search and display of files of the PDF format (created in AdobeAcrobat versions 4.00 below), without the Adobe Reader installation;
• built-in support of such archives as Zip, Arj, RAR, Imp, etc.;
• automatic detection of document type and the used coding;
• automatic selection and filling of attributes of documents (source, date, etc.), necessary for further search;
• possibility of creation and setup of custom attributes;
• the automated splitting big documents into parts (using regular expressions).

• search in different criteria;
• the task of search conditions is always on the lips close to natural;
• search taking into account morphology of words;
• search capability on several banks of documents at a single task of a request;
• search taking into account the Russian and Latin letters, identical on writing;
• multi-user operation mode in the local area network;
• work with bank of documents via the web interface.

4. Processing of search results:

• possibility of export of the documents which are stored in bank;
• preparation of reports from separate parts of the selected documents directly in the system;
• possibility of correction of the documents which are stored in bank;
• display of contents of graphic documents (*.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png, etc.);
• correction of attributes of documents in batch mode (mass correction).

The recommended configuration

Hardware requirements:

• The processor with a frequency not lower than 800 MHz;
• RAM of 128 MB for Windows 2000 or 256 of MB for Windows HR.

Program requirements:

• Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4) or Windows XP.

For net surfing:

• 100 Mbit network interface card.
