About the Group of Companies
The Cronos-Inform group of companies is engaged in the development of application software for processing structured and full-text information and the creation of automated information collection, processing and analysis systems based on it, designed to support the process of making decisions on cooperation with legal entities and individuals. Software products of the Cronos-Inform Group of Companies are used in credit institutions, law enforcement agencies, law enforcement agencies, economic security units of enterprises, etc.
Currently, more than two thousand organizations work with the Group of Companies, using its developments adapted to solve their own problems.

Company history
The company's first software product was [1] the Cronos database management system for DOS. This system was put into operation in 1994. In connection with the development of information technology, the next development of the company was the Windows version of the system, called "CronosPlus"©. This system is designed to process, manage and organize large amounts of heterogeneous information and was first offered to users in November 1998.
Responding to the growing needs of users to work with even larger amounts of data, the following software products were developed: a documentary information search system "Cros"© and an Internet component for remote work with data banks.
The logical continuation of these developments was the creation of ready-made solutions based on the CronosPlus system.
In 2009, the company released a new product - the CronosPRO system. The CronosPRO system has become the next stage in the development of the CronosPlus system. During the development, a large number of new opportunities were introduced and the modes implemented earlier were significantly improved.
Today, the Cronos-Inform Group of Companies offers a full range of services for the development and implementation of information systems based on its own software products, as well as their support for the entire period of use.
Areas of activity
Development and implementation of automated information systems
The main activity of the Cronos-Inform Group of Companies is the development and implementation of information systems based on CronosPRO. Among the ready-made solutions are the automated information system "Economic Security," the automated system "DataMiner," the documentary information search system "Cros," as well as the project solution - "Expertise." Among the latest developments [2] is the TeamWork project management system.
Provision of information services
To unify the counterparty verification system , the MBKI Information Portal was developed, which allows you to receive ready-made information collections in relation to counterparties from any device with Internet access in real time.
Holding workshops
The group of companies conducts regular consulting seminars that allow users of various degrees of training to more fully and functionally use developments in solving both applied and informational problems.
Certification
The Cronos-Inform Group of Companies is preparing automated workplaces of employees engaged in the processing of personal data for obtaining a license from the FSTEC of Russia for the technical protection of confidential information.
Licenses and Certificates
The software of the Cronos-Inform Group of Companies allows you to process personal data, as well as information containing state secrets, as evidenced by:
- Conclusion of the 8th FSB Center on compliance of the Company's software with information protection requirements;
- License for the performance of works related to the use of information constituting a state secret, No. 12116 dated September 04, 2009, was issued by the FSB Office of Russia in Moscow and the Moscow Region;
- The license for work related to the creation of information protection tools, No. 2611 dated September 10, 2010, was issued by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.
History
2026: Large Russian companies illegally bought data on Megafon subscribers from the IT firm Kronos-inform. The court appointed prison terms
The Court of Appeal for Criminal Cases of the Moscow City Court made a decision in the framework of the case of the illegal sale of personal data of Megafon subscribers - the defendants received prison sentences. TAdviser reviewed the proceedings in mid-February 2026.
It was established that several large Russian companies at once acquired illegally obtained confidential information from the IT firms NPK Kronos-inform and MBKI. The leadership of these two organizations decided to search for Megafon employees who are ready to provide personal data of subscribers for monetary remuneration. The tasks of finding such workers were assigned to Natalia Printseva, who held the posts of deputy head of the information and analytical departments of NPK Kronos-inform and MBKI.
In turn, Printseva turned to a previously familiar Alexander Trishin, a specialist in the field of information management, who said that he had the opportunity to receive data from Megafon subscribers and was ready to attract the necessary number of employees of the specified operator for this purpose for monetary remuneration. Subsequently, Trishin attracted two employees of Megafon communication salons with access to the operator's information billing systems to fulfill incoming orders. One of these employees was Mikhail Balakirev. Trishin transmitted the received information about the subscribers in the form of text or a photo of the computer screen on which the Greenfield program window ("GreenField") with personal data was displayed. Among the customers of illegal services, as stated in the case file, were Mechel"," Metallinvestbank"Teploenergoremont" (structure Gazprom""), "" Envizhn group(owned), MTS "Agroprom Credit Bank" and "Integrated Business."
The court sentenced Balakirev to three and a half years in prison with serving in a general regime correctional colony, Trishin - to two years in a penal colony, Printsev - to a year of restriction of freedom. Balakirev was also assigned a compulsory medical measure in the form of observation and treatment by a psychiatrist on an outpatient basis at the place of serving his sentence.[1]
