This system has three times the big performance of execution of operations of input-output (IOPS), than the previous version of the UCP HC system and also provides four times a smaller delay.

Hitachi Unified Compute Platform Advisor (UCP Advisor), the software for management and coordination of infrastructure of IT, will be replenished with additional function of the manager of deployment. On August 31, 2016 the Hitachi Data Systems Corporation company announced support of the virtualization platform of VMware NSX networks.

The Hitachi Data Systems corporation announced in May, 2013 that the solution Hitachi Unified Compute Platform Select for Microsoft Private Cloud completely maintains the architecture of Private Cloud Fast Track of version 3 developed by Microsoft corporation. The solution provides support of Windows Server 2012, System Center 2012 SP1, the corresponding packets of monitoring, cmdlets of PowerShell and integration of means of coordinating. It combines computing powers and advantages of storage systems of Hitachi with industry-leading opportunities of virtualization and the network technologies, best in the class.

The solution Hitachi Unified Compute Platform Select for Microsoft Private Cloud allows to apply the simplified approach to creation of the scalable, in advance configured and checked infrastructure platforms intended for creation of a private cloud. Thanks to direct supervision over data and transactions customers can dynamically select, distribute and manage resources, providing flexible service according to the IaaS model or "the platform as service" (PaaS).
