2019: ATOL began using the open standard "1C" in cash software

On February 20, 2019, 1C announced that ATOL, a manufacturer of cash registers solutions for retail and services, entered into an agreement with him on the use of an open 1C standard in its software products for connecting trading equipment. This will allow ATOL to quickly and easily install Frontol software on devices from any manufacturer, the main thing is that they integrate with the programs of the 1C: Enterprise 8.0 system.

The standard itself was implemented "1C" as part of the creation of the "Library of Connected Equipment," designed to integrate 1C programs with various types of external devices. The library includes a set of mechanisms for unified work with connected equipment and a technology for developing application solutions using it. The application part of the interface has been developing and updating for more than 10 years.

As of February 2019, 1C:

  • offers connection interfaces for 12 types of equipment, including: online cash registers, including those transmitted data offline, scanners barcodes magnetic card readers, customer displays, electronic scales, electronic scales with offline label printing, - acquiring terminals, data collection terminals printers , checks, label printing printers, label readers RFID;
  • certified 56 drivers for compatibility, which were developed according to the requirements of the standard by 20 manufacturers supporting more than 300 models of equipment.

To apply the standard, it is enough for developers to notify 1C of which products it will be used in and reflect the relevant information in the description of these products.

2017: Frontol 5.16

On May 18, ATOL presented the Frontol 5.16 release, which implemented improvements within the 54-FZ, added support for all recommended tags under FFD 1.05, integrated the RightWay loyalty system, improved support for Manzana Loyalty, optimized synchronization with Frontol Manager and work with Alco Unit. In addition, the release takes into account current trends in the operating systems market. In particular, the trend of using IoT technology to automate processes is added to Frontol 5.16 support for Windows 10 IoT. In total, version 5.16 includes more than 20 changes.

Changes under the 54-FZ

Due to changes in the 54-FZ, the details "Correction Type," "Date of Reference Document," "Reference Document Number" and "Reference Name" in documents with operations "Receipt Correction" and "Consumption Correction" will become mandatory for filling out. The Frontol 5.16 release added a window with the ability to enter these details. At the same time, in the product card it became possible to enter text up to 128 characters in the group of the field "Name" and "Text," as well as the setting "Feature of the subject of calculation" was added, the value of which will be used when registering a position in the CCP on 1.05. Changes have also occurred in the user card - the "Text" parameter has been renamed to "Position and full name."

To fulfill the requirements, 54-FZ documents with the transactions "Receipt Correction" and "Consumption Correction" are closed with the entry "Tax System from Print Group." In addition, it is possible to shut down the application and the POS system only after sending all checks to the fiscal data operator and add a new window, which is displayed in the process of waiting for sending. You can lock or cancel the shutdown from this window.

Working with Loyalty Systems

  • Integration with the intelligent loyalty system for retail chains RightWay has been implemented (you can read more about this here);
  • System support has been improved: the loyaltyManzana Loyalty Frontol 5.16 version has the ability to enter and transfer coupons.

Enterprise Automation with Frontol Manager

There have been changes in the synchronization mechanism with Frontol Manager:

  • synchronization of the parameters "\Settings\Basic\General\Occupy a service point in minutes "and "\Settings\System\PM and equipment\Cash register\Do not print the details of the check during non-discrete printing" is supported;
  • in the document items with the operations "Sale," "Return" and "Cancellation" synchronization of excise stamps is supported;
  • synchronization of the cashier's TIN setting in the user's card is supported.

When checking excise stamps using the Frontol Alco Unit, the settings "Frontol Alco Unit Web Address" and "Frontol Alco Unit Secret Key" are made mandatory, and the "Frontol Alco Unit Web Address" setting has a button "Open" that opens the specified address in the default browser.

Ability to work with other CCPs

The distribution has updated the driver for KKMs operating under the new order, manufactured by Shtrikh-M to version 4.13.562.

Correcting errors

As part of the Frontol 5.16 release, the following bugs have been fixed:

  • When synchronizing documents in Frontol Manager 3, the position cut values were sent in an incorrect format;
  • when closing the document with the operation "Opening of containers" in Frontol Alco Unit, a request was not sent to confirm the blocking of excise stamps;
  • incorrect operation of monitoring the state of the buffer of the fiscal accumulator on KKT models manufactured by Shtrikh-M.

2016: Frontol 5.13

On December 14, 2016, ATOL announced the release of Frontol 5.13 with support for Windows 10 IoT.

Two actions have been added to the system functionality - "Automatic discount from the script" and "Manual discount from the script"[1]

Synchronization with Frontol and Frontol Manager is supported.

Added functionality:

Frontol 5 is a version of front-office software designed to automate the trading floor of retailers, as well as cafes and restaurants of all formats and sizes. Compared to the previous version, Frontol 5 has increased the speed and reliability of service, expanded the ability to organize highly effective loyalty programs and marketing promotions, improved the cashier control system, expanded the list of supported equipment, and added integration with the Frontol Manager cash server, which allows you to centrally manage the cash line.
