2026: Opening of IT laboratory together with "P7," "Astra Group" and "BMCoft"
At the Ufa State Oil Technical University (UGNTU), on the basis of the Ufa Higher School of Economics and Management (UVSHEU) "Astra Group" , she opened a IT laboratory together P7 with and "" BMCoft(platform developer low-code). The main task of the project is to help future specialists oil and gas industry learn practical skills in working with - the Russian IT products integrated into the educational process, and developers - to test software solutions. This will make it possible to form a stable personnel reserve and develop. Astra domestic software Group announced this on February 3, 2026.
The multivendor laboratory includes 4 rooms, each with 12-14 workplaces with pre-installed OCAstra Linux, on which a whole "orchestra" of software tools is deployed: the P7-Office application package, the low-code BPMSoft platform for automating business processes and managing them in a single digital environment, built-in ML tools for working with data and intelligent scenarios, as well as " 1C" (product "Softekhno"). Products will be integrated not only into curricula in dozens of disciplines, but also into the work of student academies.
Students will have access to a full-fledged industrial environment in which they can simulate business processes, develop, test and implement application solutions - from internal services to intelligent modules based on machine learning. The BPMSoft platform will allow you to create your own ML models, train them on real data and integrate them with other IT systems. Having mastered the R7 office on Astra Linux, future specialists will learn to support work with documents when the organization switches to Russian software.
In total, over 25 thousand students study at UGNTU as of February 2026, of which more than 1,000 will develop their level of competence in the field of work on Russian software within the framework of the project. The laboratory will also become a center for advanced training and retraining in the IT direction for both existing employees of partner companies and for everyone who wants to get acquainted with the most modern Russian software.
Partner companies will also take part in the development of UGNTU educational programs, integrating into them opportunities to gain practical skills in working with domestic software, which is already actively used in the industry. As a result, the project will affect such disciplines as operating systems, algorithms and data structures, information systems in business, digital project management, databases, big data processing and visualization, management, system analysis, information systems design, etc. Teachers of these disciplines will have to pass certification and certification.
Mining companies have already switched to Russian solutions and are waiting for new specialists who know how to work with them. The multivendor laboratory in the leading oil and gas university of the country makes it possible to train such specialists: they will receive practical knowledge on domestic system and application software, which is actively used at enterprises of the country's oil industry. The project should bring USTU to a new level also through training on the basis of the laboratory and faculty, - said Roman Borisov, Director of the Department of Development and Sales in Education of Astra Group.
It is important for us that novice specialists receive applied experience in working with Russian software already within the walls of the university. The opening of a multivendor laboratory at USTU is primarily a contribution to the practical training of future professionals to work with domestic IT solutions. We see value in the synergy of the university, industry and vendors - this is the most effective way to form applied competencies in demand in real digital transformation projects and in the modern labor market, - said Andrey Molchanov, head of the center for work with educational institutions in R7.
Our goal in opening a laboratory is to enable students and young professionals not only to study business processes, but also to turn their ideas into real digital products. BPMSoft experts will also take part in the development of educational programs, conduct practical master classes and mentoring sessions for students. This approach will provide practical-oriented training and allow project participants to gain skills in demand on the Russian market, - said Yulia Golyakina, Head of BPMSoft Education.
The opening of the IT laboratory is another confirmation that USTU trains specialists with up-to-date digital competencies. The university is also ready to develop and implement new programs of additional education in this direction, helping the oil and gas sector in a large-scale task, import substitution IT infrastructures- added Oleg Baulin, rector of the UGNTU.
