Industry specifics of projects of IT outsourcing

The base of the TAdviser Center as of September, 2015 contained information on 800 projects in the category IT outsourcing, including directly IT projects autorsinga and projects on creation of complex IT infrastructure. It is necessary to notice that TAdviser considers only public projects, information on which is placed in press releases and on the websites of the companies.

For the last year in Top-5 of the industries on number of appeals to services of the IT and outsourcing companies there were changes. So, the first or second place is shared now by the financial services industry and a public sector (on 124 projects), trade (95 projects), telecommunications (54 projects) and power (53 projects) follow further. More than 56% of all IT projects autsoringa are the share of these five industries.

For the last year the TAdviser base was replenished with 46 projects in the financial services industry, 41 project in a public sector, 15 projects in trade, 14 projects in a telecom and 2 projects in power.

Banking institutions, telecom operators and retailers the high intensity of business processes, the growing volume of transactions, constantly amplifying competition and, at the same time, the decreasing customer loyalty and need of cost reduction pushes to outsourcing first of all, in a public sector an important factor is also the complexity and considerable scale of projects which does not leave an opportunity to cope by own efforts. In the commercial industries the quality of customer service and smooth operation of a back office provide competitive advantage therefore such companies have very high requirements to partner outsourcing.

Based on projects for the state customers the best practices and industry standards which afterwards providers can offer the market form. In a case with state structures special importance is purchased by compliance of the services rendered by provider, to requirements of the legislation for security of personal and especially important data.

The IT and outsourcing companies can have "bias" for benefit of service of these or those customers. For example, among clients of CROC there are a lot of financial institutions, retail chain stores and government institutions, Corus Consulting works mainly with a telecom and retail, at Maykor – about a half of turnover is the share of retail, including fuel retail, Jet Infosystems note activity besides of financial companies, retail, a telecom, the industry and energy industry, Borlas - plus power and the FMCG companies to above listed. The Open Technologies company of TAdviser told that in total volume the most part of projects at them are the share of a public sector.

According to data on projects in the category IT outsourcing which to contain in TAdviser base (only public projects are considered), in four industries from Top-5 on the number of projects the Maykor company is in the lead. So, in particular, Maykor holds the first place in the financial services industry, a public sector, trade and a telecom. In power, according to the statistics of TAdviser, IT Energy is in the lead.

Among the first in scopes and to the scale of the Russian projects of IT outsourcing, information on which is in TAdviser base for 2012 - 2015 , the Maykor project for Russian Post which covered 42 thousand departments of the enterprise for all Russia is selected. Its amount is record for the domestic market and is 13.5 billion rubles for three years.

As it appears from the data of TAdviser given in the table above, the most large-scale projects on transfer on outsourcing of support of IT infrastructure implement state institutions or the enterprises with state participation, such as Russian Post, UEC, Sberbank and Rostelecom.
