ASCON: Trade-in. Substitution

In 2010 Ascon started the program within which suggested the Russian enterprises to replace used at them CAD foreign development on the solutions "Compass-3D" "Compas-Grafik" "Pilot: PLM", Vertical at the updating price to the current versions of products at a discount from the cost of standard licenses.

Program conditions in 2015:

• The program extend to license users of any foreign automated design engineering systems (CAD) which are released before 2014.
• On all jobs of the systems "Compass-3D", "Compas-Grafik" purchased according to the program, "the Pilot: PLM", Vertical distributes standard conditions of technical support and updates. Applications to systems are bought at the listed price.
• Confirmation of license purity of the replaced software is the copy of the license agreement and a license number of software.
• Confirmation of failure from use of the replaced software is the official letter of the organization.

2016: Summed up of Ascon the results of the program for fight against an import CAD

In 2015 28 enterprises took advantage of the offer on the Trade-in program, is 11 enterprises more, than in 2014, told TAdviser in Ascon in January, 2016. Clients purchased software of Ascon at a discount of 60% of the standard cost of licenses, having provided written failure from use of a foreign CAD and the copy of license agreements on them. Exchange happened according to the scheme "one to one".

In most cases there was a replacement of software of Autodesk:Inventor,AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, speak in Ascon. From the different CAD systems clients passed to products of the line Compass, from the systems of class CAD TP (design of technology processes in mechanical engineering) - to the Vertical system, from management systems for engineering data - on "the Pilot: PLM". Scales of replacement are up to 45 jobs at one enterprise, told TAdviser of Ascon.

Part replaced import licenses with licenses of Ascon there are defense industry enterprises. As examples in this segment –CDB Titan,the Second Moscow instrument-making plant releasing aviation devices which is included into Tekhnodinamika holdingof Rostec Group.

Other clients are medium-sized and small enterprises of the civil sector. For example, Frakdzhet-Volga (Engels, the Saratov region) rendering services to the oil and gas companies and being the contractor of Gazprom on repair of wells. One more client - the producer of metalwork Daltekhlazer (Khabarovsk).

Both the project and construction organizations use the offer on the program. In this case an example is "The Barnaul service company" which is engaged in design of gas pipelines and gas boiler houses, their maintenance.

The most common causes which are stated by clients for benefit of migration from import solutions according to Ascon, are economic purposes ("support and update a foreign CAD expensively") and also risk of the termination of support of software because of sanctions.

Also the civil enterprises which are not entering sanctions lists are afraid: suddenly sanctions will be expanded on the country in general, everything can occur. We as the Russian producer, we guarantee stable support to the customers, - say in Ascon.

Regions which are represented by buyers on "Trade-in": Moscow, Tambov, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov, Mari El, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Tomsk, Altai Krai, Khabarovsk.

2014: Focus on promotion of the program in a MIC

In June, 2014 in Ascon told TAdviser that its program for replacement of an import CAD at a discount received the name "the Trade Ying. Substitution" also began to move ahead actively in the market of predpriyatiiya of the defense industry complex (DIC), including producers of special equipment for security agencies and the industry project organizations.

Representatives of the company explained TAdviser that earlier this program existed in "the background mode" and had no focus on specific industry, and now it appeared. Financial conditions of the program at the same time did not change - the new licenses KOMPAS-3D and the Compas-Grafik according to it can be purchased at the price in 35% of the cost of standard licenses.

"Now the program will actively move ahead via all our channels: Ascon Integration, distributors, online stores. Customers from other industries will still be able to use program conditions, however its promotion in civil mechanical engineering will not be", - the representative of Ascon says.

In 2014 Ascon began to advance actively in a MIC the program for replacement of a foreign CAD by KOMPAS

According to the representative of the company, since program launch in 2010 about 50 enterprises which main part - from Russia used it. Also several enterprises from Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are among users.

The largest replacement of a foreign CAD by KOMPAS-3D happened in VSMPO-AVISMA corporation, AVISMA branch to Berezniki of Perm Krai where licenses of the solution for 50 jobs were purchased. From recent examples of implementation in Ascon bring the project into ONPP "Technology" - the state scientific center, releasing, including, units for military aircraft.

Ascon also reported to TAdviser that approximately in 80% of cases of use of the program "Teyd-Ying. Substitution" is about replacement at the enterprises of products Autodesk. The remained 20% are outdated versions of the "heavy" CAD systems or exotic software which is not supported by developers. Autodesk did not provide comments on material at the time of its publication.

Add to Ascon that in 2014. KOMPAS-3D confirmed the status of the protected software product, having received the FSTEC certificate for work in a circuit "For office use" (chipboard). As of June, 2014 certification of KOMPAS-3D for work with the data making a state secret comes to the end.
