2018: Upgrade of the accounting system

On January 21, 2019 system integrator Navicon announced end of the first stage of upgrade the main accounting system for the supplier of BSS solutions for telecom operators Nexign. Processes management accounting are postponed for Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform 2017 thanks to which advanced functionality processes of accounting and controlling resources of the company, customer relationship managements as well as treasury are improved.

For the integrated management of the large company long time the solution on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 platform was used. However over time its architecture ceased to satisfy to requirements of Nexign, and was decided to update the version to MS Dynamics NAV 2017 which differs in extensive functionality due to expanded integration with other products of Microsoft corporation. The project executed Navicon system integrator.

The updated platform has the three-level architecture consisting of presentation level (contains Windows client NAV, the web client of NAV and the mobile client of NAV), the level of management of business logic and a management system for the database (SQL Server). Such difficult architecture allows to configure more thinly the client of the user interface and to develop it in different environments, from LAN to the Internet.

Within the project in Nexign it is configured more exact and operational, than earlier, management of accounting, tax, management accounting. For January, 2019 all business challenges are transferred from MS Dynamics NAV 2009 to MS Dynamics NAV 2017: upgraded version of ERP allowed to integrate sales, purchases, transactions, accounting and resource management within a single system.

According to the results of the project in the updated IT solution such functionality as sales process controlling, financial controlling and accounting is implemented. The uniform working space for account managers is actually organized, financial department and treasury and cooperation of commercial department, financial directorate and group of treasury is completely established. Processes of control and monitoring of sales of steel completely transparent.

Further it is going to implement the second stage of the project including implementation and adaptation of add-on modules of a system.

2015: Budgeting system implementation on the IBM Cognos TM1 platform

March 16, 2015. The Navicon company announced end of system implementation of budgeting on the IBM Cognos TM1 platform for Peter-Service Ltd.

Specialists of Navicon completely automated process of budget planning and budget performance monitoring. For automation of budget management of Navicon implemented the solution which allowed to centralize, simplify and systematize all budget process of "Petter Service". All centers of the financial responsibility of the company received a convenient planning tool of income and expenses within uniform methodologists with automatic consolidation of consolidated financial budgets of the company. For financial service instruments of control of planning processes and implementation of budgets of divisions were implemented.

Peter-Service Ltd at software development and rendering services for clients uses the most modern project approaches that demanded from specialists of Navicon of search of non-standard solutions for accomplishment of an assigned task.

In addition to automation of the commonly accepted income budgets, an operating and capital expenditure and their consolidation in consolidated budgets of PL, SF and BS, using opportunities of the IBM Cognos TM1 platform were also implemented:

  • Planning of investments into the R&D projects with automatic calculation of planned labor costs/cost and performance indicators of project data. Now the choice of investment objects is performed proceeding from their investment attractiveness;
  • Automatic calculation of the plan of capitalization of costs of investment projects according to the plan of implementation of the intangible assets received in the course R&D;
  • Detailed planning of wage fund on each employee taking into account project deliverables and motivational programs;
  • Automatic calculation of taxes of the company, including it is export / import rates of charge/VAT refund;
  • Planning of acquisition/write-off of fixed assets and intangible assets with calculation of depreciation and residual cost;
  • Integration with the company data warehouse that allows to use already existing normative reference information in new schedule system. Also the staff of financial service is given an opportunity of the plan-fact analysis and forecast of execution of budgets on the basis of the obtained actual data.
