Skycure — the Israeli developer of the platform for prevention of threats to mobile devices. The company offers technology which allows to protect mobile networks from cyber attacks by means of monitoring and the analysis of network traffic regarding suspicious activity.
Skycure is founded in 2012 by two former employees of division 8200 of Israel Defense Forces which is engaged in radio-electronic investigation. In five years from the moment of the basis the startup attracted 27.5 million dollars of investments.
2017: Symantec buys Skycure
In July, 2017 Symantec announced acquisition of the Israeli startup of Skycure. The cost of the transaction does not reveal, however, according to analysts, it can reach 200 million dollars.[1]
Symantec stated that it plans Skycure prevratitresheniye in a component of the Integrated platform of cyber defense (Integrated Cyber Defense Platform) thanks to what users of products of Symantec will get "access to full-function, effective remedies of protection of endpoynt — as on traditional, and mobile devices".
In addition, Symantec will be able to be positioned as the strategic partner of telecommunication companies, first of all, cellular operators providing protection of end devices of their clients.

The company intends to distribute the protective offers and to the IOS platform. In the message of Symantec it is specified that lately researchers of the company detected more than 600 new vulnerabilities in iOS and Android and that the number of the revealed mobile malware reached 18.4 million pieces.
