Ortomoda – the domestic developer and the producer of orthopedic footwear and rehabilitation (adaptive) clothes - is a resident of the Technopolice Moscow special economic zone since June, 2019. Along with mass production, makes footwear and by individual orders, including, remotely. Products of the company are intended for people with any changes and deformations of feet, also anatomic footwear is made for small children and elderly people, orthopedic footwear for health workers.

Consumers of products of Ortomoda company are adults and children with difficult deformations of foot, patients with a syndrome of diabetic foot and other people who need special anatomic footwear. Also the company releases rehabilitation clothes for people on wheelchairs, an adaptive school uniform for handicapped children and rehabilitation clothes for bed patients.

2020: Transfer of production capacities to tailoring of individual means of protecting

On April 21, 2020 Technopolice Moscow reported that the enterprise of light industry, the Ortomoda company, transferred production capacities to tailoring of individual means of protecting.

For April 21, 2020 in Moscow already six enterprises of light industry reoriented the production – on tailoring of protective clothes. Such decisions were made thanks to joint work of business and Department of investment and industrial policy of the city. For April 21, 2020 the Ortomoda company executes the first wholesale order for 1000 suits from waterproof protective fabric, negotiations with other interested companies are in parallel conducted, and the technical specifications are defined, the CEO of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ Gennady Dyogtev told.

The Ortomoda company quickly made the decision to connect digital technologies, to make drawings of suits and to send them to a raskroyny complex, the CEO of Ortomoda company Galina Volkova shared.

2017: Opening of production of orthopedic footwear

In September, 2017 the Ortomoda company opened production of orthopedic footwear in the territory of a technopolis Moscow. It became the 30th open enterprise financed by Fund of development of the industry of Minpromtorg of Russia. The total cost of the project was 147 million rubles from which 51 million rubles – a preferential loan of Fund under 5% per annum.

Thanks to loan financing the company bought the modern equipment which allows to make the orthopedic footwear which is most precisely considering specific anatomic features of the consumer. On production will use digital technologies of designing of products on the basis of diagnostics of foot and scanning of its parameters. The new equipment will reduce duration and manufacturing cost and also will increase quality of difficult orthopedic footwear.

The import volume of orthopedic footwear in the Russian market is more than 70%. By 2023 the company is going to press considerably foreign producers and to occupy a share to 26% of the Russian market. Production volume is going to increase from 62 thousand pairs in 2017 to 208 thousand pairs in 2023. Products of the company are delivered to 40 regions of Russia.
