History

2020: Association with the Committee for Environmental Safety and Management

In August 2020, the Governor of the Kursk Region announced the merger of the Committee for Environmental Safety and Environmental Management and the Forestry Committee into one structure - the Committee for Natural Resources of the Kursk Region^[1].

2015: Joining the Kursk Oblast Forestry Committee

By Decree of the Governor of the Kursk Region dated October 16, 2015 No. 481-pg^[2] in order to improve and optimize the structure of executive bodies of state power of the Kursk Region, federal state supervision and regulation of the use of wildlife and their habitat in the Kursk region was reorganized by joining the Forestry Committee of the Kursk region. The Forestry Committee of the Kursk Region was transferred the functions and powers in the field of protection, federal state supervision and regulation of the use of wildlife and their habitat, in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources.

2013: Activities of the Office for the Protection, Federal State Supervision and Regulation of the Use of Wildlife Objects and Their Habitat of the Kursk Region

The department was the executive body of state power of the Kursk region, created to exercise in the Kursk region certain powers of the Russian Federation in the field of protection and use of wildlife, as well as aquatic biological resources. It ensured the implementation in the prescribed manner of the powers of the executive authorities of the Kursk region in the field of protection and use of wildlife, as well as in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources.
