The Digital Development and Communications Committee of the Kursk Region is the sectoral executive body of the Kursk Region. Ensures the implementation of the powers of the Administration of the Kursk region:
- implementation of the state policy in the field of development and use of information technologies in the Kursk region (regional informatization);
- on the implementation of state policy in the field of communications in the Kursk region;
- implementation of a unified technical policy in the field of information protection;
- to ensure information security of regional and municipal (in accordance with the agreements concluded) information systems, information and telecommunication infrastructure in the Kursk region;
- to optimize the provision (execution) of state and municipal services (functions)[1] for[1].
History
2019: Renaming to Digital Development and Communications Committee of Kursk Oblast
The head of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, by his Resolution No. 21-pg of January 29, 2019, amended the name of the Committee for Informatization, Communications, State and Municipal Services of the Kursk Region. The agency was named - the Committee for Digital Development and Communications of the Kursk[2].
Previous names of the executive authority:
- until the end of 2013 - Department of Information and Communication Technologies and Information Security of the Kursk Region
- until February 2014 - Committee of Information and Communication Technologies and Information Security of the Kursk Region
2018: Obtaining powers to implement state policy in the field of communications in the Kursk region
Decree of the Governor of the Kursk Region of December 24, 2018 No. 543-pg[3] to the committee of informatization, state and municipal services of the Kursk region were transferred powers to implement in accordance with the current legislation of the state policy in the field of communications in the Kursk region from the Committee of Industry, Transport and Communications of the Kursk Region.
2014: Criminal case against the former deputy head of the committee
In April 2014, the Department of the Investigative Committee for the Kursk Region reported that the court found the former deputy head of the committee Vladislav Elagin guilty of committing three episodes of crimes under Parts 2, 4, 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking bribes).
