The Committee for Industry, Trade and Small Business Development of the Kursk Region is the branch executive body of the Kursk Region. The Committee implements a unified state policy in the field of industrial production (excluding the industry of building materials (products) and building structures), trading activities in order to meet the needs of the sectors of the economy for manufactured products, ensuring the availability of goods for the population, creating a competitive environment, supporting local producers of goods, developing and supporting small and medium-sized businesses, including industrial enterprises, trade, catering, consumer services, markets, forming market relations, licensing certain types of activities.

History

2019: Renaming to the Committee of Industry, Trade and Small Business Development of the Kursk Region

In 2019, in order to improve the efficiency of public administration, the following changes were made in the structure of the executive bodies of the Kursk region: the Committee for the Consumer Market, Small Business Development and Licensing of the Kursk Region was renamed the Committee for Industry, Trade and Small Business Development of the Kursk Region. The Committee of Industry and Transport of the Kursk Region was liquidated, and the powers to implement state policy in the Kursk Region in the field of industrial production (with the exception of the industry of building materials (products) and building structures) were transferred to the Committee of Industry, Trade and Development of Small Business of the Kursk Region[1].

2018: Activities of the Consumer Market, Small Business Development and Licensing Committee of the Kursk Region

The Committee of the Consumer Market, Small Business Development and Licensing of the Kursk Region implemented a set of measures to form a socio-economic policy in terms of satisfying the population with high-quality and safe goods and services, the development and functioning of small businesses, trade, public catering, consumer services in the Kursk Region, and markets of all forms of ownership.
