IT-Oil
2018: Building a company
In March 2019, the general director of ATI Smart, a member of the ATI Group of Companies (now developing under the Aplana brand), Alexander Fedin, said that the company's business in the field of automation and services for oil and gas enterprises and motor fuel trading was allocated to an independent company - "IT-Oil."
This happened as a result of the buyout of this business by Fedin himself. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, he owns 75% in the authorized capital of IT-Oil, which was formed as a separate legal entity in September 2018. Fedin is also the general director of it.
Alexey Mayakov has a share of 25% of iT-Oil. Alexander Fedin told TAdviser that Mayakov is his partner in this company, and he previously worked at AI. Smart "as sales Smart. Mayakov, according to Fedin, has extensive practical experience working on the side of gas station customer networks, such as BP, TNK-BP, Shell, Lukoil, etc. For what amount the business was bought, its owners do not specify.
Fedin also told TAdviser that he participated in the creation of the iT-Oil business area in the iT Group from the very beginning - since 1998. Since 2011, he continued to develop this business in a subsidiary of iT. Smart "as CEO.
He explained the decision on the deal to TAdviser by the divergence of the strategies of the founders of the group of companies and him as the head of this business area.
GC "ATI" actively informs about its new strategy, and "IT-Oil" did not fit into the new strategy. On the contrary, I considered and consider this business area promising, therefore I was ready to personally buy it out and develop it further. Such my proposal was accepted by the founders and implemented on both sides to mutual satisfaction, says Fedin. |
In May 2018, in an interview with TAdviser, Tagir Yapparov, chairman of the board of directors of ATI Group, said that he considers this business area unpromising.
We have a niche business - this is the automation of gas stations and our own excellent product. There was once a growing market. But now everything, there is no big dynamics of this market. There is Rosneft, there is Gazpromneft, there is Surgutneftegaz, there is Lukoil - and that's it. This direction continues to generate stable income. The business is profitable, but without dynamics, - explained Yapparov. |
All obligations under existing contracts with counterparties in the specified business, as well as decisions on smart cards, were transferred to iT Oil. She also received from AIt Smart exclusive rights to IT-Oil, IT-Oil Neftebaz and AIt-Card software. Also, the trademark "IT-Oil" and related sites and domains have passed to iT Oil.
All employees who perform work and provide services related to the field of oil and gas supply and motor fuel trade also moved to iT Oil. Alexander Fedin clarified to TAdviser that at the time of the transaction at iT. Smart "had 25 employees, and by March all key employees were transferred to a new company. Several dozen more people remained within the framework of other business areas in the Applana Group of Companies.
We plan to actively develop the company in various areas. Of course, the main direction is the iT-Oil systems for automating the management of gas station networks, oil depots and everything related to this area. But we are already developing new business areas that are not related to gas stations. At the same time, the company's specialization has been determined - software development and related services, - Alexander Fedin told TAdviser. |
Fedin added that in "ATI. Smart "he successfully created and developed various business areas, in addition to iT-Oil. For example, these are solutions using RFID and warehouse logistics automation. These business areas remained in the group of companies and will continue to develop further within the framework of the Aplana Group of Companies, which has combined the software and service divisions of the ATI holding. Tagir Yapparov also spoke about plans to focus on the development of the Aplana brand as part of the transformation of the TAdviser holding earlier in an interview.
According to Alexander Fedin, the founders of the group of companies also plan to actively develop AI. Smart, "but at the expense of other areas of business.
