Technology park of software products and information technologies IT Park

IT Park Uzbekistan is a complex of the objects, buildings and constructions intended for ensuring start and removal on the market perspective a startup projects, the exterritorial free economic zone for the IT companies including, due to integration with the scientific and educational organizations.

2019: Opening of the IT park

On July 24, 2019 official opening of the Uzbekistan's first IT park took place. It represents a complex of the objects, buildings, constructions and  the equipment intended for  start and  removal on  the market of startups. 

The technology park of software products and  information technologies is in  Mirzo-Ulugbeksky district near  Inkh's University. 

In Tashkent the first Uzbek park of support of IT startups opened

In the park development  of the program of a business incubation, acceleration and the venture funding is planned that will help start of the perspective IT companies. In the territory of a complex the co-working center, IT academy, IT laboratory and  hotel will be open. Across  all Uzbekistan branches for  development of an IT entrepreneurship in  regions will open. 

The government designated main objectives and problems of the IT park:

• providing infrastructure to residents for work, rendering to them  financial, marketing, legal and  other consulting services  and also services in  programs of acceleration;

• the organization of training of the population and youth for the purpose of formation of a modern class of highly qualified specialists in the field of information technologies;

• support,  including  on the basis of the venture funding, in  implementation a startup projects, assistance to beginners and  small enterprises  in the field of information technologies in  commercialization of results of work;

• assistance to residents in  attracting investors;

• holding master classes and  trainings  and also conferences and  seminars  in the field of information technologies.

Residents of the IT park till January 1, 2028 are released that payments of all types of tax and  obligatory contributions to  the public trust funds  and also uniform social payment. Besides, they are exempted from customs payments ( except for customs fees) for  the imported equipment, component parts and the software  which are not manufactured in  Uzbekistan.^[1]
