The U.S. Air Force implements a blockchain platform for safe communication

At the beginning of February, 2020 the company Fluree announced that it signed the contract with AIR FORCE USA on delivery of communication systems for command using technology blockchain.

Fluree startup from works on creation of the database on the basis of a blockchain. In 2019 the firm attracted $4.7 million investments. Distinctive feature of this platform is that it integrates technologies of a blockchain and the graphic database.

Fluree announced that it signed the contract with the U.S. Air Force for delivery of communication systems for command using blockchain technology

The U.S. Air Force wants to receive the communication system for different departments, compatible to the majority of devices and also to provide the high level of security. Sending messages to troops on places therefore the ciphered communication is the main priority of the U.S. Air Force and the Ministries of Defence when developing this system is the cornerstone.

The solution Fluree uses architecture of a blockchain for security of communication and at the same time provides storage of large volumes of data in the integrated graphic database, - the CEO of the company Brian explained Platz (Brian Platz).

According to the contract Fluree will cooperate with all departments operating under the direction of the U.S. Air Force and will develop the platform capable to provide multidomain transactions of management and control (MDC2) for the U.S. Department of Defense and its main partners. The company will study specific needs of certain clients and will begin work as a prototype using the platform of data management Fluree.

The contract was signed at the initiative of the U.S. Air Force. It is not the first similar case - the U.S. Department of Defense actively studies possibilities of use of a blockchain. In 2019 the Ministry of Defence announced the conclusion of the transaction with SIMBA Chain company for tracking of production and with Constellation kompniya for data security provision.[1]
