2020: Lukashenko approved privileges for owners of electric vehicles

In March, 2020 the president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree on support of development of electric transport in the country. According to a new initiative owners of such machines will be able to expect different privileges till 2026.

So, according to the prezidensky decree, electric vehicles are exempted from payment of duty on issue of permission to admission to participation in traffic. Citizens of the country who will import electric vehicles for private use will be exempted from the VAT.

Besides, charging stations will also not be assessed with the VAT, and the land plots for their construction will be leased free of charge. At the same time the enterprises which already have at themselves on balance chargers for electric vehicles, will also be exempted from the VAT.

Till 2026 it will be possible to park on electric vehicles free of charge in specially equipped places. Producers of electric vehicles and electrocharging stations and also the organizations exploiting them acquired the right to apply the raised investment deduction in the order set by the Tax Code

Uncertainty with   price of oil shows that  the electric transport has enormous potential. And  case even not  in  oil.  The matter is that  it is  perspective. All  countries  which do not have  underground huge stocks oriented on  the electric transport long ago. And  to us   God  ordered. We  tomorrow the day after tomorrow enter two  blocks of power plant  — Alexander Lukashenko said.
