2024: Connecting to Franchise Store Delivery Service

The Pyaterochka retail chain began to connect franchise stores opened by partner entrepreneurs to its own delivery service. The company announced this on June 13, 2024. The pilot involves three stores in Moscow, Moscow and Vladimir regions.

Franchisee entrepreneurs, in order to launch delivery from their Pyaterochka, need to sign an additional agreement with the network and purchase equipment for collecting and packing orders. The network makes a forecast for the number of orders per day and gives recommendations on whether it is necessary to add an order collector to the store staff, or sellers can cope with this load. Based on the results of the pilot, the retailer will assess the effectiveness of the delivery process and, if necessary, make improvements. After that, the network plans to connect other partner points to the service.

For buyers, the ordering process from franchise stores is arranged in the same way as when ordering from their own points of the network - you need to install the Pyaterochka mobile application, indicate your address where you need to deliver, and select the necessary goods. Orders are collected by store employees, and delivered by couriers collaborating with X5 Digital.

Pyaterochka actively attracts new partners and expands its franchise network, it includes more than 360 stores in 36 regions. The retailer uses a reverse franchising model, according to which it takes on all questions on trade, pricing, logistics, marketing. The entrepreneur partner does not need to pay royalties, he makes initial investments in the premises for the store and equipment, and after opening he receives a monthly share of the revenue - agency remuneration.

More than 3.3 million orders were delivered over the year with a total weight of over 36.7 thousand tons

On January 28, 2021, X5 Retail Group announced the results of the Pyaterochka Delivery product in 2020. Over the year, couriers of the service delivered more than 3.3 million orders with a total weight of over 36.7 thousand tons, of which 10.6 thousand tons are fruits and vegetables. More than 420 thousand orders (about 13%) were completed free of charge for social categories of citizens.

The most popular commodity position among the customers of the service by tradition was bananas, they were ordered more than 680 thousand times, a total of about 712 tons. In general, the category "fruits and vegetables" is the most popular in express delivery. Over the year, customers of the service were brought over 10.6 thousand tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. Most often in orders there were: onions (373 thousand orders), potatoes (288 thousand), lemons (248 thousand), carrots (235 thousand), tangerines (228 thousand). The top 10 in terms of getting into the check from customers of Pyaterochka Delivery also included chopped loaf and chicken eggs. The average weight of one delivered order was just over 11 kg.

Couriers of Pyaterochki Delivery for 2020 could circle planet Earth 87 times: the total distance to all customer addresses, excluding the return journey that they covered, exceeded 3.5 million km.

The peak month for delivery was December 2020, when only more than 794 thousand orders were completed.

As of January 2021, the Pyaterochka Delivery express delivery service operates in Moscow, Moscow Region, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Ufa and Novosibirsk on the basis of 594 stores and 8 darkstores.

Pyaterochka has completed more than 2 million orders of customers of the express delivery service

On November 11, 2020, it became known that the Pyaterochka retail chain fulfilled more than 2 million orders from customers of the express delivery service. In October, the average number of daily orders through the Pyaterochka Delivery application exceeded 16 thousand.

The total weight of all orders delivered from Pyaterochka since the beginning of 2020 has exceeded 24 thousand tons. One of the most popular products among delivery customers is bananas, in total about 600 tons were ordered. At the same time, in total, couriers, in order to deliver all orders "from door to door," traveled 6 million kilometers, which is equal to 150 revolutions around the earth.

The service is available through the Pyaterochka Delivery mobile application. Orders in it are accepted from 9 am to 9 pm, and the same discounts and special offers as in regular stores of the chain apply. Each customer can collect their own basket, not limited by the number of items, but weighing no more than 30 kg, including up to 10 liters of water. For November 2020, the most voluminous, but not the most expensive, is an order from Moscow, consisting of 450 different items.

The seasonal factor and the situation with the coronavirus stimulate the transition to online shopping. Express delivery customers receive all the necessary goods without leaving their homes, quickly and safely, which is especially important in a difficult epidemiological situation.

Back in early 2020, the express delivery service from Pyaterochka was available only in a small area in the south-west of Moscow. We were able to quickly respond to time challenges and scale the service that is now used not only in the capital, but also in Kazan, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. The demand for the service continues to grow: we deliver more than 16 thousand orders from 360 stores and darksters every day. Launch of delivery service in Nizhny Novgorod

On August 31, 2020, X5 Retail Group announced the launch of a grocery delivery service from chain stores in Nizhny Novgorod. About 70% of residents of all districts of the city can already use the express delivery service.

As of August 31, 2020, Pyaterochka Delivery operates on the basis of 13 stores in Nizhny Novgorod. To use this service, you need to install the Pyaterochka Delivery mobile application. Orders in it are accepted from 9 am to 9 pm, they are collected directly in the Pyaterochka store. At the same time, pickers choose products with the maximum shelf life and the freshest fruits and vegetables. Products are delivered at absolutely the same prices as in the stores of the chain, all existing promotions apply to them and additionally double points of the loyalty program "Help-Card" are awarded. Orders are delivered with couriers right to the door literally within an hour, and the delivery cost is only 99 rubles. Payment is convenient and safe - immediately in the mobile application, no mutual settlements with couriers are necessary.

The operational model of express delivery is based on the division of functionality between the retail network and the unified management center and the IT platform for digital remote services X5 FoodTech.

Launch of delivery service in Rostov-on-Don

On June 16, 2020, X5 Retail Group announced the launch of a grocery delivery service from Pyaterochka chain stores in Rostov-on-Don. The service for June 2020 is available to 70% of the city's population.

As of June 15, 2020, express delivery operates on the basis of 14 stores and fully covers the areas of Temernik, Rostov Sea, Voenved, Aleksandrovka, Suvorovsky residential complex, as well as a significant part (75%) of the Northern housing estate. In the area of ​ ​ Selmash, Nakhichevan and the western residential area, the service covers about 50% of households.

On May 7, 2020, X5 Retail Group announced that the Pyaterochka retail chain had launched a service for delivering products from chain stores in St. Petersburg. The service is still available mainly in the central districts of the city, thus providing a high demand for the service in connection with the current self-isolation regime.

All prices for products in it are exactly the same as in Pyaterochka stores, all federal and regional promotions on the network also apply to goods, and double points of the Vyruchay-card loyalty program are awarded. Orders are collected in the Pyaterochka store and delivered with couriers right to the door. You can only make a payment in the application using a credit card. All orders are delivered on the same day, and logistics are continuously being finalized to minimize delivery time.

On May 7, 2020, the service is already available to residents in the Central, Admiralteisky, Vasileostrovsky, Moscow, Frunzensky, Kirovsky districts and partially in others. The coverage area of the service increases every week. By the end of May, it is planned to make the express delivery service available throughout St. Petersburg.
