On December 26, 2022, Greenatom Simple Solutions announced that the company's specialists transferred 157 AWS employees of six executive bodies of state power of the Chelyabinsk region from OCAstra Linux 1.6 and 2.12 SE to Astra Linux 1.7. The transfer of jobs of civil servants Chelyabinsk in the region to the updated version of Astra Linux was carried out by specialists in two stages. The installation of Astra Linux 1.7 distributions was carried out remotely without the participation of the user and the physical presence of the migration engineer from the contractor, which helped to reduce labor costs and meet the short deadlines established by the state contract.

After migration and post-adjustment, the employees of CITO OGKU accepted each workplace according to the procedure provided for by the AWS Update Protocol, which is part of the Import Substitution Methodology of Greenatom Simple Solutions JSC.

OGKU "Information and Technical Service Center" provides technical support to the authorities of the Chelyabinsk region. 90% of jobs in the OIV region have been transferred to the Astra Linux operating system. Now 90% of automated workplaces (AWS) of civil servants in the region are equipped with domestic software.

Import substitution of jobs of civil servants of the Chelyabinsk region has been implemented in several stages within the framework of the national project "Digital Economy of Russia." Greenatom specialists analyzed the IT infrastructure and technical condition of the AWS in 13 executive bodies, after which 1,400 jobs were migrated to domestic software. Also, a separate important stage of the project was the transfer of AWS of civil servants working with personal data to a secure version of the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system.

From the first day of the project until the end of the work, specialists from the Center for Independent Import Technologies of Greenatom and Astra Linux GC provided operational information and technical support to users.

Despite the fact that the bulk of the migration procedures took place in the conditions of remote work of users and current restrictive measures in connection with the epidemiological situation, all tasks were completed on time thanks to technical solutions adapted to the remote format.

As a result of the implementation of the project, by 2024 more than 90% of the software purchased or leased by the authorities should be domestic.

735 jobs have already been transferred to work with domestic system software in 12 ministries and departments of the Chelyabinsk region. This is about 40% of the total number of jobs in the executive authorities. In 2020, another 1,407 jobs will be transferred to 13 authorities.
