Biography

Yevgeny Prigozhin was born in Leningrad. His mother Violetta Kirovna Prigozhina was a physician and worked in a hospital. Father Viktor Evgenievich Prigozhin died early, and the child was raised by his stepfather Samuel Zharkoy. As a ski instructor, Zharkoy introduced him to cross-country skiing.
