The central military orchestra of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation – the leading on-stage performance group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and one of the famous orchestras of the world. It was founded in 1927. As a part of orchestra two independent collectives – wind and symphonic on the basis of which the variety and symphonic orchestra, the string quartet, a big band, jazz ensemble and a breast stroke quintet are created.
