The order of involvement of the technology companies in a 5G of the Demo center of Moscow is defined. On October 28, 2020 reported about it in the Moscow Department of Information Technology.

For the solution of city tasks (the Demo center 5G) the Agency of innovations of Moscow subordinated to capital Department of an entrepreneurship and the innovative development will be engaged in search and involvement of residents of the Russia's first 5G of laboratory .

Based on a 5G of the Demo center the platform of pilot testing of the innovative solutions for communication networks of fifth generation will be created. In addition to search of startups the Agency of innovations of Moscow will be engaged in legal support, monitoring and also assessment of results of pilot testings.

The 5G of the Demo center works for what to help startups and the technology companies to develop and test with approximate or real conditions of the solution which will transform life of Muscovites. The main requirement to future residents is an existence of developments based on technologies 5G which can be applied in such industries of municipal economy as transport, medicine, city security and education, - the deputy manager of the Moscow Department of Information Technology Alexander Gorbatko commented on signing.

Capital at VDNH became the Demo center 5G one of platforms within the program of pilot testing of the innovative solutions as which operator the Agency of innovations of Moscow acts. According to the results of testing the best developments which can be used for increase in comfort and security of the urban environment for inhabitants and guests of the capital will be selected, - the Head of Department of an entrepreneurship and the innovative development of the city of Moscow Alexey Fursin told.

Access to a 5G to networks for testing of the innovative city solutions will be got by the large technology companies, startups, scientific institutes and industry universities. Within work of a 5G of the Demo center the patent and technical inviolability of solutions and the equipment is observed.

The program of pilot testing of the innovative solutions allows developers to test the projects in actual practice of the urban environment. During its work in the capital already tested 42 projects in the field of information technologies, medicine, educations, production and retail. In the program 89 city and commercial platforms are attracted to participate. It is planned that until the end of 2020 the number of platforms will reach 100, and the implemented tests – 50. For the end of October, 2020 more than 200 technology enterprises submitted applications for participation in the program.

Start of a 5G of the Demo center

The Moscow Department of Information Technology (DIT of Moscow) announced on October 26, 2020 start of a 5G of the Demo center which will be engaged in search, testing and support of city services based on technologies of network of fifth generation.

Opening in the capital of a 5G laboratory, we pursue several aims: create conditions for market development of consumer solutions and city services based on networks of fifth generation, find business models for players of the different markets, save in Moscow examination in technologies. Platform 5G of the Demo center will allow business to test the developments, and to the city to make the decision on expediency of their implementation. All this will contribute to creation and the development of disruptive services for inhabitants and business, - the deputy manager of DIT of Moscow Alexander Gorbatko explained.

As the priority industries in which it is going to test services based on technologies 5G, DIT of Moscow defined transport, medicine, city security and education.

5G of the Demo center it is located at VDNH in the Smart City pavilion. The project is implemented within partnership agreements with the main participants – telecom operators and producers of the telecom equipment. The MTS company acted as the partner in an issue of obtaining necessary permissions for deployment in the territory of the Demo center pilot a 5G segment, and the Ericsson company became the first supplier of telecommunication equipment.

Networks based on the equipment of Ericsson already became a basis for creation of demanded services in megalopolises worldwide — smart eco-friendly transport develops, services for telemedicine and receiving remote education and also housing and communal services are created. Technologies 5G play a key role in improvement of ecology and promote preserving of human health in the period of COVID-19 pandemic. We are glad to an opportunity to make the contribution to development of a 5G networks in Russia and quality improvement of life of people in Moscow, - the president of Ericcson in Russia Sebastian Tolstoy noted.

Moscow is the strategic important region for MTS where we actively test and we implement perspective technological solutions, fruitfully cooperating with the Government of Moscow. Within the agreement on development in the capital of the innovation infrastructure based on modern communication networks signed by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and the president of MTS Alexey Kornya since summer of 2019 pilot zone 5G in which the different solutions Smart City are tested acts on VDNH. We are glad to promote further creation of digital infrastructure for implementation of technologies for the benefit of residents of our capital, – the vice president – the director of the Moscow region of MTS Pavel Kuznetsov noted.

In September signed the agreement on cooperation DIT of Moscow also with State Corporation Rostec which shortly will also provide a 5G equipment. The platform is open for all similar producers. Access to a 5G to networks for testing of the innovative city solutions will be got by the large technology companies, startups, scientific institutes and industry universities. Within work of a 5G of the Demo center the patent and technical inviolability of solutions and the equipment is observed.

Agreement on development of technologies of communication of fifth generation

The Government of Moscow and State Corporation Rostec signed the agreement on development of technologies of communication of fifth generation. On September 23, 2020 DIT of Moscow reported about it. The agreement assumes cooperation in the organization of work of the Russia's first 5G laboratory for the solution of city tasks. Close interaction of Rostec and Government of Moscow in the field of approbation of the Russian technological solutions and innovations is supposed: the city will act as the test platform of implementation of technologies of wireless communication. For September, 2020 in Moscow several pilot zones already function.

In October the capital Department of information technologies intends to open the Demo center 5G in the Smart City pavilion at VDNH. the 5G of the Demo center is an accelerator for the small and medium enterprises, universities and research institutes developing solutions based on networks of fifth generation. They will be able to use including types of the equipment which will be in the long term used for commercial deployment of a 5G, – the Minister of the Moscow Government, the Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology Eduard Lysenko reported.

Within the agreement the possibility of information exchange of rather real requests of business and the city regarding a 5G services and trends of development of city infrastructure is also provided.

Rostec is ready to render any assistance of DIT in development of communication networks of a 5G in Moscow. Pilot zones on the domestic equipment in the Demo center 5G will become one of projects on joint development of a 5G, – the director of special orders of State Corporation Rostec Vasily Brovko said.
