2020: New structure of Board of Directors Russian Post

At the beginning of December, 2020 the Government of the Russian Federation approved the updated structure of Board of Directors of Russian Post. It was headed by the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.

As reported in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers published on the official portal of legal information, new members in Board of Directors of Russian Post became:

In council the vice-president of the Federation Council Nikolay Zhuravlev and the head of the State Duma Committee on information policy Alexander Khinshtein are also appointed. Nikolay Podguzov and Alexey Kostin are appointed independent directors.

All board members are appointed for a period of 5 years. At the same time the Board of Directors was left by Nikolai Nikiforov and Konstantin Noskov who (at different times) directed earlier the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications (nowadays – Mintsifra).

Council was also left by the former deputy head of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Oleg Voitenko, Russian President Administrations the former head Alexander Voloshin, the CEO of Agency on Recapitalization of Infrastructure and Non-current Assets LLC Vasily Sidorov, the first deputy head Ministry of Economic Development Andrey Ivanov and the head of the State Duma Committee on development of civil society, questions of public and religious associations Sergey Gavrilov.

The Board of Directors of Russian Post was headed earlier by the former Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov who in February, 2020 also headed the company. Under the charter, the CEO of Russian Post cannot direct Board of Directors at the same time.[1]
