The position of the head of the committee became vacant after Leonid Levin became deputy chief of staff of the Government of the Russian Federation, the committee explained.
According to Arseniy Shcheltsin, General Director of ANO Digital Platforms, Alexander Khinshtein is an experienced state figure, effective as a project manager and expert in the topic of media. At the same time, by education - a journalist.
I think that with him, as the head of the committee, the entire media community will very quickly find a common language. In terms of the topic of information technology, I wish Alexander Evseevich good luck, because the IT community is not simple. But, given his extensive experience in the economic sphere and great attention to public communications, I am sure that his dialogue with this industry community will quickly tune in, "Arseniy Shcheltsin told TAdviser |
Speaking with TAdviser about the activities of the committee, he noted that the most significant action on his part was a special attention to the information technology industry. Before the leadership of Leonid Levin, according to Shcheltsin, the main agenda of the committee was the media, not information technology.
The committee has implemented many fundamental projects. Among them are benefits for IT companies and their subsequent prolongation, a law on equalizing taxes for fees from the Russian Internet, which brings about 10 billion revenues to the budget annually, issues of the rules of Internet aggregators, network security and critical infrastructure, the development of mobile data networks, issues of federal and regional TV channels, support for socially significant Internet media, countering SMS spammers, as well as much, much more. It's hard to even remember, the list is very large, - Arseniy Shcheltsin informed TAdviser |
Constant communication with the media and the technological community, in his opinion, allowed the committee to quickly localize any industry difficulties.
