History

2021: Acquisition by AspenTech company

AspenTech announced on January 26, 2021 acquisition of OptiPlant company which solutions will become a powerful deposit to a line for owners of the enterprises and general contractors in the field of continued production. Terms of transaction are not disclosed.

The OptiPlant technology represents the three-dimensional plan of an industrial facility created on the basis of AI which includes parametrical models of assets and supports automatic design of pipelines. It simplifies interaction of the owner of the enterprise and the general contractor, increasing the accuracy, reliability and speed of calculation of cost, since the earliest stages of work on the project.

The solutions OptiPlant do development of versions of the plan by more effective, cut down a capital expenditure, increase security of assets and improve ecological indicators of the company owning the plant. Thanks to them the general contractor can develop more conceptual plans and preliminary projects that considerably reduces load of specialists. Uniform visualization accelerates interaction of owners of the plants and general contractors and also specialists from departments of the production technology, engineering design, design of pipeline systems and plan development of the enterprise. Approach of OptiPlant to the automated creation of plans of the plants and arrangement of pipelines is integrated with the systems of modeling AspenTech (Aspen Plus and HYSYS) and also the systems of calculation of costs (Aspen Capital Cost Estimator) and preproject preparation (ABE).
