History

2019: Agreement with AspenTech on acquisition

On July 25, 2019 Aspen Technology, developer company of the software for optimization of production assets, announced agreement signature about acquisition of Mnubo, Canadian supplier company of specialized artificial intelligence technologies (AI) and the analytical infrastructure in a segment of Internet of Things (IoT) located in Montreal. Mnubo technologies will allow to accelerate strategy implementation of AspenTech on development of the next generation of solutions for optimization of production assets which combine profound knowledge in the field of production processes with artificial intelligence technologies and machine learning.

In addition to deployment of applications on the basis of artificial intelligence capability to visualize huge information volumes and the analyzed data is crucial for development of the companies and their evolution to the level of the smart enterprises. For further expansion of these opportunities AspenTech purchased Sabisu, the British company providing a flexible solution for visualization of workflow and activity of the enterprise for the purpose of ensuring decision support in real time. AspenTech purchased Sabisu company in June, 2019.

Both of these acquisitions will help AspenTech company to accelerate implementation of the built-in AI technologies both in existing, and in future solutions. Combining fundamental engineering models and profound technology knowledge of production processes with AI opportunities, these solutions will allow to automate data processing and decision support for improvement of service of the industrial systems for all lifecycle of design, operation and maintenance of production assets.

The transaction price on acquisition of Mnubo company was approved on 102 million Canadian dollars. Financial parts of the transaction on acquisition of Sabisu company which includes Argent & Waugh Ltd. do not reveal.
