Biography

Natalya Pochinok has two higher education:

In 2001, she defended her thesis on "Taxes in the mechanism of stimulating foreign investment in Russia."

In 2005, she was awarded a doctorate in economics.

Natalya Pochinok held senior positions in the banking sector (director of the department for working with branches of Sberbank of Russia, vice president of Gazprombank, director of the southern branch of Raiffeisen Bank), worked in international consulting companies.

1998: Work in REA named after G.V. Plekhanov

From 1998 to 2005 she taught at the Department of Tax Policy REA named after G.V. Plekhanova. In the same place in 2011-2014 - professor, head of the department "Taxes and Taxation[1]

2014: Acting Rector of the RSSU

Since June 2, 2014, she acted as rector of the Russian State Social University after being appointed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

2015: Election of the RSSU Rector

In January 2015, Pochinok was elected rector of the RSSU based on the voting results of members of the Conference of Scientific and Pedagogical Workers and Students of the RSSU.[2]

2017: Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation

2018: Vladimir Putin's confidant

She was a confidant of Vladimir Putin in the 2018 presidential election.[3]

2021

Removal of the rector of the RSSU

Natalya Pochinok was temporarily removed from the post of rector of the RSSU from July 30 to September 6, 2021 by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the duration of an unscheduled audit conducted by the department after numerous student complaints about study and residence and verification of the authenticity of Natalya Pochinok's income statement. The grounds for removal in the order include articles: suspension from work (Labor Code of Russia), provision of information on income (part 7 of article 8 of the Federal Law "On Combating Corruption"), as well as an order of the Ministry of Education and Science to verify the reliability and completeness of information provided by citizens claiming to fill positions in the organization of the Ministry of Education and Science (paragraph 16 of the order).[4]

Dismissal from the post of rector of the RSSU

In November 2021, Pochinok was dismissed from the post of rector of the RSSU of her own free will, according to other sources, she was dismissed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation according to the results of an unscheduled audit.[5]

Managing Partner of Digital ESG in IBS

Family

Natalya Pochinok is the widow of the former Minister of Labor and Social Development Alexander Pochinka, who served in the government from 2000 to 2004. Her husband died in March 2014.
