Preparation for the launch of an electric truck plant for 300 million rubles

On September 28, 2022, it became known that the company "Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus" became a resident of the special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow" and is preparing to open a plant for the production of electric trucks. Investments in the project exceed 300 million rubles.

The company "Electric vehicles Manufacturing Rus" and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation signed a special investment contract. According to its terms, the manufacturer undertakes to implement an investment project within four years and six months, and the state - to ensure the stability of doing business. As a site for the placement of a new plant, the company chose a special economic zone of Moscow, the residents of which are exempted from paying property, transport and land tax, customs duties. In addition, the income tax rate for such enterprises is 2%.

The plant for the production of electric cargo vehicles, which will be located in the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow," announced the recruitment of personnel, this became known on March 11, 2022 from the words of the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital, Alexander Prokhorov.

The company plans to start commissioning the equipment in May of this year, and has already announced the start of hiring employees for production. The new plant will create more than 90 workplaces. At the site of the Special Economic Zone in the Pechatniki area, all stages of production of passenger commercial electric vehicles will be implemented, including the preparation of mass production of main units and assemblies and assembly, - said Alexander Prokhorov.

High-tech production "Electric vehicles Manufacturing RUS" will be located in two buildings of the capital's SEZ on the territory of 2600 square meters, said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the SEZ "Technopolice' Moscow."

The production infrastructure will be built on the principle of maximum efficiency. The production of units and units will be located in the 24th building, and the assembly line will be organized in building No. 5. The capacity of the plant will be 1000 electric vehicles per year. The manufacturer plans that the first of them will come off the assembly line in September 2022, - said Gennady Degtev.

Recently, the Moscow Government approved the project of the Electric Vehicles Manufacturing RUS company, within the framework of which the production of electric vans will be launched on the territory of the Technopolice Moscow special economic zone. Already in 2022, the company will produce 120 electric vehicles, by the end of 2023 - 1000. In addition, the capital will act as one of the parties to a special investment contract - SPIC 2.0, which gives the investor the right to zero income tax.

The company presented the first Russian electric cargo vehicle EVM PRO in February 2022. The main characteristics of the machine respond to the request of a promising market, according to the company "Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus." The creators of the electric cargo vehicle tried to solve the main problems of this type of transport: in particular, low mileage on a single charge - only 200 km and a 30% reduction in winter.

The company plans to occupy up to 30% of the market. According to Ilya Rashkin, founder and CEO of Electric Vehicles Manufacturing RUS, the market for intra-city logistics (the last mile) for the LCV class is 40,000 cars a year in Russia. A special investment contract will help in the implementation of plans - it will allow buyers to receive subsidies of up to 30% of the cost (up to 950 thousand rubles).

On January 17, 2022, it became known about the completion of the competition held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the conclusion of a special investment contract (SPIK) for the production of electric vehicles.
