Passengers of CPPK will be able to watch films of the Premier online cinema on trains RA-3

2022: Creating a portal for watching movies on trains

Thanks to the innovative portal, Orlan train passengers will be able to watch films, TV shows and other programs of the Premier online cinema during trips. This was announced by the CPPK company on May 5, 2022.

Rail diesel buses - two-car trains of the Orlan RA-3 - run on routes served by the Bryansk operation depot. They can be found in the Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Oryol regions, as well as in the Moscow region: they run from the Ozeri station to Golutvin. Equipment for organizing broadcasting is installed in 16 out of 26 trains, but in the future it is planned to extend the digital resource to all rolling stock of this type.

The peculiarity of the portal lies in complete autonomy: to access the database of films, you do not need to access the Internet. Passengers need to scan the QR code from stickers placed in the carriage. The link leads to a clear portal, in different sections of which films and TV shows are posted, as well as information about the CPPK and current news that will help to usefully spend time on the train journey. Some of the content is available for free, the rest is by subscription to the Premier online cinema.

The project was created jointly with SMART4, which has already implemented similar portals in Sakhalin, northeastern Russia and other regions. It is planned that commercial activities will also be available on the basis of the portal: ordering food and drinks for the train and other services.
