OLDOS Completes Axelot WMS X5 Implementation Project

2022: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5

OLDOS completed the Axelot WMS X5 implementation project. This was announced on June 21, 2022 by Axelot (Axelot).

The project was based on recommendations drawn up following an audit conducted by specialists from the AXELOT consulting department. The proposed solutions have proven their effectiveness in practice.

OLDOS positions itself as an expert company in the production of children's clothing for an active lifestyle.

In production, OLDOS uses the latest equipment. In order for the new models to differ in practicality, quality and at the same time look great, the company develops them using its own research center and experimental workshop.

The development of production requires the same from the logistics of the enterprise. OLDOS products for June 2022 can be bought in more than 300 cities of Russia and the CIS, the company also owns an online store. The company's warehouse stores goods of its own production, totaling up to 50,000 articles. In addition, children's clothing is subject to mandatory labeling by PPEs that need to be monitored.

The automation facility is a warehouse complex with an area of ​ ​ 2,800 sq. m. To accommodate goods, wide-passage pallet racks are used here, shelf storage and floor storage are used.

Among the recommendations drawn up as a result of the audit were moving away from paper technology, optimizing the warehouse topology, and working out problem points of business processes for cargo processing. These tasks were solved during the preparation and during the WMS implementation project: the customer changed the configuration of the warehouse and its topology, adapted and systematized business processes. After the logistics audit, it was decided to increase the selection cells of the goods by dividing the cells of the existing rack system. After that, the topology and allocation planning logic in the WMS system were reconfigured. Thanks to the flexibility of the system and the immersion of the team, these changes were carried out as soon as possible.

During the project, a single integration loop of the enterprise was created, combining two systems - AXELOT WMS X5 and CIS. The integration is done using the DATAREON ESB data service bus jointly by the project teams from both AXELOT and OLDOS.

A plan was drawn up to gradually transfer the support function to the side of OLDOS specialists. For example, administrators had to keep an inventory without the participation of the implementation team on the second day. By the end of the fourth phase of the project, support for employees and exchange was carried out entirely by internal services.

The implementation of AXELOT WMS X5 allowed you to automate processes in terms of placement planning and preparation of shipment orders. Address storage and fixation of all movements of goods in the warehouse are implemented. The process of accounting for control and identification signs in accordance with the requirements of the national digital marking system Honest Sign has been automated. "

Thanks to automation, transparency and "traceability" of operations are increased, the warehouse space itself is used much more efficiently due to higher storage density.
