2022: Transfer of all cash desks to Set Retail
The cash desks of all 27 OBI stores now work on the Russian Set Retail solution. From the moment OBI applied to CSI to readiness for circulation, only a week passed. The circulation to stores took 14 days. CSI announced this on June 30, 2022.
As a result of the departure from the Russian market of the German company OBI, the Russian division of the company raised the issue of preserving business and jobs - the company has 4,200 employees. One of the important stages was the localization of IT solutions. The primary task was to open stores - and therefore replace the cash decision of the group with a Russian analogue.
In April 2022, the selection of IT solutions began and the choice settled on Set Retail. Retailer attracted the stability and reliability indicators of the solution from the Unified. Set register of Russian software had not only all the necessary "OBI" functional blocks, but also an ecosystem of additional products and services - including for transferring the composition of the check from the hall to the cash desk, supporting markings and restarting the loyalty program. Almost no improvements were required, and s integration ERP 1C was easily configured using a module from Arta. By May 9, all 27 Russian OBI stores were opened.
We managed not only to quickly resume the work of stores in difficult conditions on the market, but also to immediately implement improved cash management software. For June 2022, out of the box, functions are available that were not in the previous solution, many routine processes have been simplified: for example, withdrawal of cashiers, return of goods, etc. The intuitive and simple interface reduced the training of the new cashier to 2 hours. Thanks to the support of the team from the partner, all issues during implementation and integration were resolved extremely quickly, which played an important role in such an ambitious implementation time. The work was carried out at an accelerated pace, but all goals were achieved thanks to clear planning from both project teams. For 4 days we launched Set Retail on the test bench, integration with the new ERP system was carried out. On April 27, the first store in Moscow opened on Set Retail. During the May holidays, all hypermarkets were launched - 236 main cash desks. We were pleased to help OBI close all basic cash tasks and offer new prospects with Set.
