UIPath is a world expert in the field of robotization, so the task of switching to a domestic platform has become a challenge in terms of requirements for functionality and system performance. With the transition to a domestic solution, there were opportunities not only to replace, but also to expand the practice of using RPA to more processes and employees, told the project customer, chief accountant of Rostelecom, Dmitry Peresvetov.

In Rostelecom, a special competence center is engaged in solving robotization problems, the priority task of which is to search, implement and migrate from Western software to domestic software. Therefore, all robots created earlier will be transferred to the Russian solution, which fully complies with the import substitution policy adopted by the company.

The platform completely replaces the foreign platforms UIPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Kryon in terms of the necessary functionality and technical feasibility of all robotization scenarios. From its early days, the company developed the platform as scalable, fault tolerant and suitable for large companies that require advanced tools to work with RDP, Citrix, queues and resources in the orchestrator, multithreading, recognition of structured and unstructured documents from scans and photos, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The emergence of built-in automated tools for converting robots from Western platforms allows migration to a domestic solution even faster, commented on Sherpa Robotics CEO, Konstantin Artemyev.

The Rostelecom team, together with Sherpa Robotics, quickly deployed and configured the platform, trained employees and conducted pilot operation. Just five months into the collaboration, the Sherpa RPA platform has been rolled out and put into productive mode. Now in the CSC, each employee can install and configure the robot for routine operations.
