Neural networks will help sellers write the text of the ad on Avito. The company announced this on April 26, 2024.

Now it will be easier for private sellers to create an advertisement with a high-quality description, and for buyers to decide on a purchase. This feature is built on a large language model (LLM) trained by Avito developers on more than 400,000 ads. The functionality is available for all private users in the category "Shoes, clothes, accessories" in the mobile application.

The user just needs to write a title, upload photos, as well as fill in several product parameters, such as brand, size, state of the thing, color, etc. The algorithm will process the information and offer a variant of the product description. An important part of the function was the Image-to-text algorithm, which generates a description based on the image of the product.

The ability to get the "Documents Verified" icon using Public services from any device

Avito simplified the process of confirming the authenticity of profiles through State Public services. Now this verification method is available in just a few clicks for all private users and self-employed on any version of the platform - in an application, mobile version of the site or on a computer. It is enough to have a confirmed account on the Public services. As a result of passing the updated check, you can get the "Documents checked" or "Self-employed" icon. Verification using a profile on Public services was launched on Avito in February 2022 as part of the Ministry of Digital Development experiment. Until April 2024, only users of mobile devices on Android and iOS, on which the State Key application was additionally installed, could be verified in this way. According to the results of the check, users received the icon "There is an account on Public services."

Now "State Key" is not required - confirmation passes directly through the State Public services portal. You can pass verification in your personal account in the "Profile Management" section by selecting a check in the "Data Confirmation" section through the Public Services office for individuals or self-employed. In total, during the test of this verification method, more than 30000 self-employed and 3500 private sellers took advantage of this opportunity.
