The pharmaceutical company EGIS-RUS will introduce the L4 Utrace Hub level marking system. The IT solution will allow the pharmaceutical manufacturer to automate the process of serialization of dietary supplements during customs control. This was announced on April 12, 2023 by Utrace (Utrace).

In accordance with the draft mandatory labeling of biologically active additives (dietary supplements) in Russia, all manufacturers and importers will have to transfer information about such products to the state information system for monitoring goods (GIS MT).

The company "EGIS-RUS" in advance began preparations for the requirements of Russian legislation in the field of labeling dietary supplements. As a partner, the pharmaceutical company chose the cloud solution L4 Utrace HUB, which will allow ordering crypto codes for dietary supplements, transferring them to a customs warehouse, receiving a report on marking and sending it through the CPS (code issuance order management station) to GIS MT.

As of April 2023, the project is at the stage of system integration testing. EGIS-RUS expects that the deployment of the system will be possible before the entry into force of state requirements for mandatory labeling and will work by May 2023.

Automation of the process of labeling dietary supplements for customs control is a strategic project. EGIS-RUS will introduce the minimum necessary functionality for volume and varietal metering. Utrace is flexible, and the customer will be able to expand the functionality of the system in 2024. In addition, if necessary, additional elements of the supply chain can be easily and quickly connected to the Utrace HUB in the future. For this purpose, the solution already provides for a ready-made library of connectors, tested, among other things, by clients of the pharmaceutical industry, "said Vasily Savin, director of consulting at Utrace.
