2023: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5
Trial Market switched to Axelot WMS X5 to be able to work with KIZs. This was announced on May 22, 2023 by Axelot (Axelot).
The introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 instead of the old WMS allowed Trial Market to automate the warehouse processing of goods subject to mandatory labeling.
Trial Market Group of Companies is a wholesale supplier and manufacturer of disposable paper and plastic utensils, packaging and consumables for business and office: hygienic products, household products for cleaning, household chemicals, etc. The company has been operating on the market for more than 20 years and as of May 2023 has representative offices in 25 regions of Russia.
One of the Trial Market warehouses was previously automated, however, over time it became obvious that the existing WMS no longer meets the growing needs of the business, and its functionality does not allow covering the necessary business processes. A kind of trigger that prompted the company's management to decide to replace WMS was the need to work with KIZs: there were no such settings in the boxed functionality of the old WMS, and the refinement of the system turned out to be too expensive and time-consuming. That is why it was decided to introduce a more modern and flexible WMS, which was the AXELOT WMS X5 system.
The area of the automated warehouse is 550 square meters. m, the number of SKUs - 1500 articles. In addition to the lack of functionality for working with labeled products, the old WMS had a narrow toolkit designed primarily for registration and control of basic warehouse documents. In order to obtain some more detailed data, trace the life cycle of a batch of goods or form a new report, it was necessary, involving programmers, to perform various improvements to the system.
AXELOT WMS X5 has opened up additional warehouse management opportunities for Trial Market. For example, for goods from the household chemicals category, selection planning was set up according to the FEFO principle. Inventory balances are recorded and their movement is analyzed. A toolkit has appeared for working with KIZs - both piece goods and aggregations. And for warehouse management, a number of analytical tools are now available to assess warehouse occupancy, operational dynamics, and load planning. The system made it possible to minimize human participation in decision-making, which makes it possible to allocate resources more efficiently and improve the overall quality of management of the complex.
In addition to the high level of functional compliance with the requirements of Trial Market, the AXELOT WMS X5 system architecture made it possible to maintain the collection terminal models familiar to employees. Within data the framework of the project, AXELOT specialists adapted the mobile client for the correct operation of the shipping documentation with labeled products. As a result of the project, thanks to AXELOT WMS X5, Trial Market has improved the quality and speed of warehouse operations. The implemented system not only provided critical functionality for working with PPE, but also extensive opportunities for the further development of the warehouse economy - flexible parameterization and developed functionality out of the box make it easy to adapt AXELOT WMS X5 to changing business processes.
