2023: Axelot WMS X5 Solution Implementation

Kar Parts Deliveri has implemented AXELOT WMS to gain full control over warehouse operations and plans to develop the solution in the future. This was announced on September 12, 2023 by AXELOT.

As a software solution, Kar Parts Deliveri chose the warehouse management system - AXELOT WMS. The warehouse complex of the company, where the solution was implemented, is located in the Moscow region, its total area is 3500 square meters. m, and the range is about 20,000 active items. The implementation was carried out by AXELOT specialists.

The purpose of the project was to implement AXELOT WMS at the warehouse complex of Kar Parts Deliveri LLC as a separate information system designed specifically for the automation of warehouse processes. One of the main tasks of the 3PL operator is the ability to provide flexible client processing scenarios. trade flows data The parametric capabilities of AXELOT WMS allowed taking into account the features. Depending on the accounting model determined by the combination of the controller-nomenclature, acceptance and placement can be carried out according to different principles and include different stages:

  • Acceptance can be carried out both from the shipping documentation and from the workplace of the Acceptance, and the decision can be made by the senior shift.
  • Acceptance can be carried out in several stages - first preliminary acceptance, and then acceptance with recalculation.
  • Acceptance with recalculation is performed in the area of incoming 3PL cargo processing, where the incoming flow is consolidated. In the frame of this stage of cargo processing, sorting, marking and, if necessary, registration of serial numbers of the article are also carried out.
  • When planning the placement, WMS takes into account various criteria: the ability to place the same product near the already placed, the sufficiency of quantities for the formation and placement of an entire pallet, compatibility rules that determine the ability to mix goods in one storage place.

Automation took into account other features technological of processes in the warehouse. In order to improve the performance of the selected item packaging, you can quickly enter checked quantities before shipping. A strict single item scanning with an operational record is performed only for a shipment with the category Sales, and in all other cases the quantity entry mode is used. The system initially includes the use of various data exchange protocols. For some of the controllers, it is possible to transfer data on NSI and planned documents from, file Excel but standards are also applicable EDI using a specialized data bus.

The selection of goods is carried out according to the FIFO principle, while the selection is carried out from the first, second and third tier of the rack. If the required item is not enough at these levels, an on-order replenishment task is automatically created. Adjustments and cancellations of orders can occur both "in minus" and "in plus" until the goods are loaded into the car. If the order adjustment was "minus," the employee withdraws the goods from the collected storage place and moves the goods to the storage area, and if the order adjustment was "plus," the employee, after automatic supplementation, picks up the missing goods on the order. The goods are shipped on both an order and a flight, if more than transport one shipment order can be in the same facility. The order of loading into the vehicle can be determined, among other things, on the basis of data received from the senior shift. The goals set for the project team have been achieved. The company continues to develop the warehouse and, together with AXELOT, implements these changes in the WMS solution.
