2023: Development of a small-sized electric mini-loader

The Moscow company has developed a small-sized electric loader with a battery designed for seven hours of uninterrupted operation in a mixed cycle. Large production enterprises, logistics complexes and construction companies became interested in this. This was announced on August 28, 2023 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of Moscow, Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The device was developed by the Moscow State Machine-Building Design Bureau "Vympel" named after I. I. Toropov together with the Moscow State Technical University named after N. E. Bauman and the Kurgan Road Machine Plant.

A mini-loader on an electric drive is capable of moving loads weighing up to a ton. In addition, the machine differs from similar equipment equipped with internal combustion engines, a high degree of automation, energy efficiency, maneuverability and low life cycle cost. The localization level of the component base of the loader is 70 percent. It is planned that by the end of 2024 it will reach one hundred percent,
noted Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The electric loader received patents of the Russian Federation for a utility model and an industrial design and has already passed the first evaluation operational tests in May - June 2023. In September 2023, the production of the first pre-production batch of 15 units will begin - following the results of their operation, the product will be finalized taking into account the wishes of customers and launched into mass production.

In 2022, the Moscow cluster of electric vehicles was created in the city. It has already combined more than 50 research and production enterprises that develop and produce cars, microelectronics, composite materials and charging stations.
